But I doubt he was working gravetic drives at Area 51, or that he was writing those letters. Whoever went into his Signal was creating a bizarre story, complete with anti-gravity drones, maybe to cover up that this dude iced a couple of businessmen or something out there. It looks like another case where Burn Notice was prophetic when it showed active duty SF doing jobs for Management while on leave from their day jobs.
One possibility is Cabal is too entrenched in some parts of Europe, and this means we will cut ties, and then have to at least remain prepared for a potential world war with Europe at some point. Trump may want Canada and Greenland so he can run the military up to Greenland in preparation for an invasion. It would probably never happen, but in the event of a long cold war with the Cabal in Europe, having the ability might be important. Whether it is worth absorbing all the leftists and immigrants Trudeau let in, is another matter and debatable.
