Several illegal aliens have been arrested across the state recently for crimes ranging from burglary and theft to kidnapping and weapons charges.

Last month, on December 11, 29-year-old Bernard Demetrius Bevans was arrested in Davidson County for aggravated burglary and theft of property.

28-year-old Miguel Angel Coello-Castillo was also arrested in Davidson County on Christmas Eve for theft of property, theft of vehicle, and evading arrest. He had previously been arrested in August on charges of being a fugitive, but those were subsequently dropped.

More recently, Davidson County police arrested 35-year-old Wilmer Bladimir Valdez Guzman on January 11. Guzman faces charges of possessing a handgun while under the influence. He was cited in November for driving without a license.

In Knox County, authorities arrested 27-year-old Kevin Madrid for aggravated burglary and kidnapping.

All of these individuals currently remain in custody on an immigrant detainer hold.

They will be held until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An immigrant detainer most likely means that these individuals are in the country illegally.
