Letter of the week
Dear Editor
As yet more appalling detail emerges about the activities of Muslim rape gangs, it also becomes clearer that this is part of the pattern of the so-called ‘Establishment’.
All three Westminster political parties knew about this, and not only refused to take any action, but allowed even greater levels of immigration, thereby worsening the situation. Legislation was introduced on the pretext of preventing terrorism, yet was primarily deployed against the indigenous population – an indigenous population that has never been asked to approve or ever agreed to any immigration at any point. There would have been no requirement to defend ‘community cohesion’ if there never had been immigration, nor would there have been anything like the current threat of terrorism.
The message from the ‘Establishment’ is that it, and it alone, knows best. Be it joining or exiting the EEC/EU, meddling in other countries’ affairs, ‘climate change’, or Covid-19, the list is huge. The ‘Narrative’ is always highly controlled, and dissenting voices will always be individually isolated to stop the issue running out of control. The outcome is always the same: ordinary people end up being much worse off.
As the legacy media becomes increasingly irrelevant and information, which was previously suppressed, leaks out via social media, the reaction of government is to seek ways of banning that social media, and not to attempt to address the numerous major issues that government policy has created.

In defence of Tommy Robinson
Dear Editor
I’m just an ordinary white working class parasite (the Labour Party’s definition of us) and I am as disgusted as the rest of the World about the evil rape gangs that have been allowed to infest our once great country, aided by the crooked establishment who believe diversity is our strength.
Kathy’s fantastic and honourable support of the deliberately hidden victims of this low point in the history of England has been welcomed. Others who have been strong on this are Mark Steyn (removed from GB News for upsetting the left wing establishment) and that other white working class parasite, Tommy Robinson, now a political prisoner along with those arrested for social media posts, outraged by the murder of three little girls in Southport. I renounced my membership of the Reform Party last week after the appalling allegations made about Tommy by Nigel Farage including about violence to women which Robinson’s ex wife vociferously denies.
Tommy Robinson started the EDL way back to oppose radical Islam which is destroying England we know. He shut it down when a Nazi fringe tried to take it other. He was involved in violent conflicts with nazis trying to kill him on one side and islamists trying to do the same on the other. In recent years he has put on large, peaceful marches in London where moderate Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, rape gang survivors, Iranian women demanding the end of misogyny in their country, black and white people have all joined together to condemn not only radical Islam but also the culpable British establishment. Then when he showed a movie condemning the establishment that they didn’t like, they banged him up to shut him up because he is an oik and needs to be kept quiet.
I don’t know Tommy Robinson or have ever been a member of his organisations but seems blindingly obvious to me that he has been targeted by a corrupt and globalist-led establishment who he has don’t his best to expose almost single handedly. Not many, if any, so called journalists went to the many towns where paedophilia was promoted by left wing councils and the police. He put his life on the line for doing so. Then for exposing something hundred thousand times worse than Saville, he gets banged up in solitary confinement as a political prisoner. I’ll guarantee none of the fascist Hamas supporters running riot in London, today get the same treatment.
This has backfired and Elon and co know it. Nigel and Tice have betrayed the working class by attacking Tommy and for me are now the same as the treacherous conservatives who allowed 14 years of lies, lockdowns, wokery and open borders to attack their own supporters. Once bitten, twice shy so I am now party-less. You seem to be the only ones that understand the left wing smearing of Tommy Robinson for what it is or that the use the ‘nazi’ slur against him shows how desperate the Left are to shut him up. He is by far the bravest person we have in this country only to be called far right and to be locked up with death threats over his head. Maybe if we had more people like Tommy, this country wouldn’t be collapsing into the cesspit it has become.
I’m so angry with the deliberate collapse of England but pleased you are too. Keep up the good work!

Cold weather in winter? Must be ‘climate change’!
Dear Editor
Having had a few wintry days last week, one would have expected the MSM to be happy; no, the reality of weather was too much for them to cope with. Instead of rejoicing that their half-baked ideas on re-wilding, emission controls and stopping the burning of coal might be working, after three or four days of winter, they were panicking. The phenomenon of winter weather in January was, of course, attributed to the ‘Climate Emergency’. On Sunday morning, I overheard a newsreader asking a rhetorical question as to how long this cold spell would last; I can tell them that, within living memory (i.e. my lifetime), there was a cold spell lasting for 63 days.
As can be seen from the graph of daily temperatures at Bedstead House, near Ipswich, minimum temperature did not exceed freezing from December 28, 1962 to March 3, 1963*.

Maximum daily temperatures struggled to get above freezing for two days at the end of January, when warmer Atlantic air tried in vain to break the predominant and cold easterly winds that quickly re-established themselves throughout February. After some initial disruption from the blizzards which established the cold weather at the end of December, life went on very much as normal. My school, which was four miles away from my home, did not close, and I travelled daily by bicycle or bus. Games were cancelled for some weeks; there were no dramas or talk of a national emergency. The past is another country: they did things differently there. We had lived through a war and we didn’t panic.
*The graph comes from a paper, ‘The 1962/1963 winter as observed at Belstead Hall (Suffolk) and through investigation of the synoptic charts’ by James Dent, published in ‘Weather’ in January 2013.

It’s time to stop believing in the green god of Net Zero
Dear Editor
Wise words from Russell Borthwick, chief executive of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce. He asked John Swinney to change his anti-fossil fuel stance and support domestic oil and gas production, arguing that this was preferable to having to import fossil fuels from other nations.
Up jump the usual suspects, like Gillian Martin, Scottish Minister for Climate Action, who said, ‘We are clear that any further extraction and use of fossil fuel must be consistent with Scotland’s climate obligations.’
Since decisions on North Sea oil and gas licensing are reserved for the UK government, another UK talking head waffled on about green energy and Net Zero. Do these people go on courses to teach them how to spout this rubbish? Jobs in the gas and oil industries, vehicle production, manufacturing and elsewhere are being sacrificed as politicians prostrate themselves before the green god of Net Zero and throw billions of the taxpayers’ money at him. Time for all unions to combine and get rid of the green blobs who are haemorrhaging jobs and reducing the UK to an economic wilderness.

No ends can justify these multicultural means
Dear Editor
Tom Holland, a fairly well-known writer, issued a statement on Twitter (now ‘X’) which stated that, in the pursuance of multiculturalism (a ‘noble aim’), the Government have been justified in their approach to the grooming gang scandal. In essence, what he was saying is that in the interests of the ‘noble cause of multiculturalism’, it is necessary to tolerate the rape and brutal treatment of vulnerable white working-class girls. In other words, the ‘ends justify the means’.
It is possible that some might consider forcing incompatible cultural groups to live together hardly a noble cause? Putting this to one side, is it remotely true to say that these ends might justify any means?
The Communist Party in Russia notoriously starved millions of peasants to death in the interests of the larger community; was this justified? Should we kill unwanted children to harvest their organs to help those who need transplants? Should we kill older people who are a drain on community resources so as to provide more resources for younger people? I daresay, dear reader, that you could provide many more cases of such utilitarian efficiency.
I suspect that most of us are aware of the ethical implications of such utilitarianism and strongly reject it. In general, such utilitarian suggestions are a cloak for wickedness. I would posit that a safer ethical approach is to assert that no matter how noble an end, nothing can justify using wicked means.
I believe Tom Holland purports to be an ethical christian. Shame on you, Tom Holland.

Exploitation on the high streets
Dear Editor
The same official indifference and turning a blind eye to widespread exploitation, as with the grooming gangs, also happens where it is the victims who belong to an ethnic minority.
No where is this more blatant than in the Vietnamese nail bars on the high streets of towns up and down the country. The obvious clue that something is not right is that the majority of the workers in these most feminine of businesses are males.
It is safe to say that the majority of the staff in these establishments are being exploited. This is to keep completely unknown to the authorities whether they have been granted some sort of status by the Home Office or not. Either way, they have large debts to pay off to the criminal gangs who smuggled them into the UK and put them to work.
If the police and the Home Office are unwilling to tackle this modern slavery on our high streets, what hope is there that they will do anything about the exploitation which is better hidden?

We need the facts, not the opinions
Dear Editor,
I wish I knew what was actually true.
Is global warming a real threat to humanity? If it is, is there anything we can do about it, or is it beyond our control? The conflicting evidence is bewildering. Scientists say yes, scientists say no. Are there any facts out there?
Were, or are, covid vaccines beneficial overall? We know there are side effects, but did mass vaccinations save more lives? Who (not WHO) knows?
What was the real reason Russia invaded Ukraine? Was it NATO/EU provocation, or was Putin empire-building? Are there some other reasons thousands upon thousands of people have been massacred?
Are millions of British people living on benefits when they are in fact quite capable of work? The welfare bill is getting bigger and bigger, so are we getting sicker and sicker, or are we getting lazier and lazier?
Why are successive British Governments determined to increase the population with uncontrolled immigration? Cheap labour seems to be the reason, but is there another motive? The increase in demand on the State and resources seems to totally outweigh any real benefits from this tidal wave of people. There is a widespread view that immigration is financially beneficial to the host country, but is that really true? There are always limited resources; does that not diminish the well-being of the host’s citizens?
The UK National Debt at £2.8trillion is insane. How is this ever going to be repaid? Or does it even matter if we never repay it? Governments of all stripes borrow and borrow, and tax and tax to just repay the borrowing. How does this make any sense at all? How do politicians justify borrowing money to be repaid by our children’s children, or worse, our grandchildren’s grandchildren?
The Trident nuclear deterrent costs around 3billion a year. Would this be better spent on weapons we could actually use?
The NHS will cost £ 192billion in 2024/25. Is this value for money? Or is this not enough money to provide a decent service? Is the NHS just too big to adequately manage and control effectively? Why are we not actively seeking the best solution? Is it just too hot to handle politically? All we seem to do is pour in more money and hope; the law of diminishing returns alone makes this an absurd policy.
There must be actual answers to these questions, not opinions. Where are they to be found?
