We watched the CBS Evening News very carefully last night, which coincided with Round Two of these ballsy jackasses flooding highways and busy street corners in cities across the country, and you’ll be as unsurprised as we were when the broadcast was over.
Nary a word nor the flash of a fluttering Mexican flag held aloft by someone warbling the Mexican version of Do You Hear the People Sing in completely the wrong context.
The people waving the flags in these street marches aren’t oppressed peasants trapped in an exploitive and absolute monarchical system.
They’re an invading army living large in a welfare state, larping as victims for the camera.
Hurt feelings at finally having their game called were on display all over the country beginning this weekend.
Protests against ICE took place over the weekend in California, Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, Georgia and North Carolina.
The largest demonstrations over the weekend were in California and Texas. Thousands of people turned out in Los Angeles on Sunday to protest mass deportation, blocking the 101 Freeway downtown. Marchers chanted slogans such as “no one is illegal,” and “si se puede.”
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) declared the demonstration to be “unlawful” at around 8 p.m. and started to use non-lethal weapons to break up the crowd.
The fun started Sunday night. As you might imagine, the flashier, bigger crowds were in illegal indulgent sanctuary California cities like Los Angeles. They swarmed the freeway.

Cops in LA are already overwhelmed and shorthanded, thanks to staffing issues and still having to maintain a presence in areas affected by the fires. So this additional enforcement is exceedingly difficult on its best day, and then you have to deal with the wishes and diktats of progressives running the city – God bless the poor cops.
Now, I’m not sure what LAPD officers the Newsweek correspondent saw ‘breaking up the crowd.’
The only people moving away seemed to be the LAPD, and it was rumored that it was thanks to orders directly from Mayor Karen Bass.
Hearing that LAPD rank and file who were down there are not happy about this apparent stand down order.

These hooligans shut down a major freeway and clogged back streets for FIVE HOURS, and there were NO ARRESTS.
Thousands of people protesting mass deportations planned by President Donald Trump marched in Southern California on Sunday, including in downtown Los Angeles where demonstrators blocked a major freeway for several hours.
Protesters gathered in the morning on LA’s historic Olvera Street, which dates to Spanish and Mexican rule, before marching to City Hall. They called for immigration reform and carried banners with slogans like “Nobody is illegal.”
By the afternoon, marchers had blocked all lanes of U.S. 101, causing traffic to back up in both directions and on surface streets. The demonstrators sat down in lanes, while a cordon of California Highway Patrol officers stood by. It took more than five hours for the freeway to fully reopen, CHP Lt. Matt Gutierrez said Sunday evening.
The CHP and the Los Angeles Police Department said there were no reports of arrests.
