An illegal alien was arrested in December in Knox County for identity theft and fraudulent receipt of food assistance.
41-year-old Zureymal L. Martinez was arrested on December 14, 2024 and held on a $40,000 bond.
She is scheduled to appear in court on February 20.
Records show that Martinez is currently being held on an immigrant detainer. She will remain in jail until he is released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An immigration detainer most likely means that this individual is in the country illegally.
