Ever get the sense that the Pravda Media doesn’t cover the Hamas-Israel war in an evenhanded manner?
Me too.
Leftists will tell you that it is the Joos who control the media and that the poor terrorists of Hamas are getting a bad rap. All they are doing is decolonizing the Middle East (hint, the Ottoman Empire colonized the entire region and ruled over it for centuries, and Islam itself spread through conquering vast tracts of the world through violence), fighting against the rapacious, money and power hungry Joos.
But the truth is that the major news outlets, and even the Joos within them, have been giving Hamas and the “Palestinians” a pass on their decades of hate and terrorism. The “Apartheid State” Israel is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious secular society that has Arab Muslim judges, legislators, and full civil rights for all races and religions.
Most Muslim states in the region are devoid of Jews, who were driven out and subject to ethnic cleansing. Arab Muslims have rights in Israel; Jews have only graves in places like Gaza.
Ms. Mahfouz’s first article about the Israel-Hamas War was on October 16th, 2023.
Since then, she has written precisely 48 pieces about the conflict.
That’s 48 @washingtonpost articles about Israel, written by a Hamas supporter who doesn’t think Israel should exist https://t.co/zvaCDGlZWd

The New York Times hired their own Nazi reporter to cover the Israel-Hamas war; the Associated Press had reporters and photographers who participated in the October 7th massacres, and…The Washington Post has their own terrorist-supporting reporter covering the conflict from Cairo.
Call me old-fashioned, but I think it’s wildly inappropriate for a journalist to report on a country she believes is “illegal” and shouldn’t exist pic.twitter.com/N5kATMy5WK

I, too, am old-fashioned, and while I learned long ago that any semblance of “objectivity” claimed by the Pravda Media is a sham, it still never fails to surprise me that media outlets rarely seem interested in even hiding the biases of their so-called “objective” reporters. They are so confident that their readers will take them at their word that they are objective–and many do, out of habit–that they will hire “reporters” who admit they admire Hitler, or in this case embrace Hamas because…joos.
Ms. Mahfouz also thinks that Zionism—the belief in the Jewish right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland—is racism.
FYI the UN revoked and completely disavowed that resolution in 1991 pic.twitter.com/pZohPN4OVH

We have spoken a lot about the rise in antisemitism–and no doubt, with the moving of the Overton Window, antisemitism has risen–but most of what we are seeing is not about rising antisemitism, but rather the increasing social acceptability of it. A lot of college kids probably never thought much about it until it became fashionable to hate jews, so the raw numbers of antisemites have increased. But most of this hate was roiling just under the surface.
While she does concede that she “[doesn’t] like Hamas’ social repression of Palestinians,” she finds it in herself to still “always and forever support the resistance as long as it is against the Zionist entity.”
Wow, how sweet. pic.twitter.com/6TjR88oEqq

Well, it is now at a full boil, especially in academia and among leftists primarily. It is fashionable to hate jews now, so the closet antisemites are letting their freak flags fly. And, for me even a bit more disturbing, the latent antisemitism of some Right-wing folks, is bubbling to the surface as well. I hate it on the Left, where it predominates, and worry that it is rising on the Right.
I’d reach out to Ms. Mahfouz to get her response to all of this, but I suspect that, given what she posted on September 11, 2012, she’d probably just tell me to “F*CK OFF & SHUT THE F*CK UP!” pic.twitter.com/lKkxOambQH

The anti-Israel bias in the media is a major driving force in this explosion of hatred. As the press helped move the Overton Window, it has become a self-reinforcing trend. Haters are one-upping each other to an alarming degree. It is similar to the TikTok phenomenon where ignorant young Leftists started praising Osama bin Laden and approving of his tactics.
It’s simply inarguable that Ms. Mahfouz should be kept far away from any newsroom covering Israel and the Palestinians.
But with the way The Washington Post has been operating, expect her to be named Middle East Editor by next week.

Pravda Media keeps finding ways to go lower. It hardly seemed possible. And it is a terrible danger to our society.
