IT’S pretty guaranteed, I think, that Labour will not win the next general election. As a test of their sincerity, if every other party, including the new ones, openly declared right now under common signature that they will unite on the issue of digital IDs, that they will jointly vote against it in Parliament, and that they will jointly repeal it if it has become law, this would do much to restore confidence in the political system, give the people some hope, and Labour some pause for thought.
