Dear Editor
There has been a spontaneous public outcry with demonstrations in Perth, Aberdeen, Dundee, Falkirk and Inverness against asylum seekers being housed in hotels. Prompted by the SNP MSP Peter Wishart, First Minister John Swinney has told the press that he would consider setting up exclusion zones around hotels housing asylum seekers (buffer zones that Nigel Farage reportedly approves) saying the anti-migrant protests were ‘disgusting’. No, Mr Swinney and Mr Wishart, what is disgusting are the crimes these pretend asylum seekers are committing, including sexual advances. What is disgusting is that the UK Government and Police Scotland do not record (deliberately?) the number of crimes committed by those claiming to be asylum seekers. What is disgusting is that politicians and those in support of asylum seekers never take them into their own homes or offer to fund them rather than the taxpayer. They should put their money where their mouth is.
