Dear Editor
WE have a serious problem with religion in the UK.
Most obviously with Islam but not exclusively so. We seem to have ended up with the tail wagging the dog by allowing religion to circumvent the law.
We collectively as a country have made the moral judgement that discrimination against women should be illegal and that there should be total equality between the sexes.
On any rational basis this cannot be argued against.
And yet, we allow children to be indoctrinated with misogyny. Somehow it is OK to treat women as second class citizens because God says so!
Well so much for God!
It would be nice to think we have outgrown God and become just a tad more civilised.
