Police across the state have worked to take illegal aliens off of the streets, many charged with violent crimes.


Sevierville police have brought charges against a man after a fatal hit and run that occurred early Monday morning. A deceased man who appeared to have been hit by a car was found on the side of Highway 66. 34-year-old Enrique Estrada Martinez was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death and driving without a license. Martinez was taken into custody with help from Knoxville police and Homeland Security indicating he is likely in the United States illegally.


A Venezuelan national was sentenced to nine years in jail on three counts of vehicular homicide. 26-year-old Yerson Ysaac Sanchez Rivera was charged after crashing a vehicle in an East Ridge tunnel while driving under the influence, killing his three passengers, in 2024.


A Mexican citizen arrested in Chattanooga for drug paraphernalia was found to have already been deported four times in the past. Octavio Andrade-Aguilera was arrested on drug charges but was then turned over to federal police. He was previously deported in 2003, 2011, 2014, and 2015.


20-year-old Brayan Josue Murcia-Troches was arrested last week in Davidson County for the 2024 shooting death of 15-year-old Genesis Medina-Gonzales. The pair were in a vehicle together when he says he accidentally shot her. He was already in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security before he was turned over to local authorities to face these charges.




Davidson County police also arrested the following individuals:
42-year-old Marco Antonio Martinez-Marin – arrested March 28
- Martinez-Marin was charged with violation of probation stemming from a 2022 conviction for DUI. He was booked on a $25,000 bond.


33-year-old Jesus Salvador Castenada-Lomeli – arrested March 30
- Castenada-Lomeli was charged with domestic assault with bodily injury, driving under the influence, open container violation, driver’s license required, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He was booked on a $5500 total bond.


38-year-old Alvaro Hugo Urizar-Giron – arrested March 30
- Urizar-Giron was charged with possession of a control substance (cocaine). He was booked on a $35,000 bond.


55-year-old Benjamin Urizar-Giron – arrested March 30
- Urizar-Giron was charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), driving under the influence, and driving on a suspended license. He was booked on a $38,500 total bond.


28-year-old Mario Alejandro Vienst Guerra – arrested April 1
- Guerra was charged with theft of property ($1000-$2500). He was booked on a $5000 bond.


26-year-old Hebert Gomez – arrested April 1
- Gomez was charged with theft of property ($1000-$2500). He was booked on a $5000 bond.


Knox County police also arrested the following individuals:
26-year-old Jesus Caratechea Lopez – arrested March 29
- Lopez was charged with DUI (first offense), driving without a license, and drivers to exercise due care. He was booked on an $8000 bond.


19-year-old Diego Andres Morales Villalobos – arrested March 29
- Villalobos was charged with domestic assault and was booked on a $5000 bond.


25-year-old Emmanuel Sanchez – arrested March 30
- Sanchez was charged with driving without a license. He was booked on a $1500 bond.


27-year-old Esteban Mendoza – arrested March 30
- Mendoza was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was booked on a $5000 bond.


35-year-old Jacinto Martin – arrested March 30
- Martin was charged with DUI (first offense), driver’s license law, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. He was booked on a $10,500 total bond.


51-year-old Carolino Sandria-Gonzalez – arrested March 30
- Sandria-Gonzalez was charged with DUI (first offense), open container, reckless endangerment, and physically holding a telecommunications device. He was booked on an $11,000 total bond.


23-year-old Chavavvia Zunis – arrested March 30
• Zunis was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child. He was booked on a $5000 bond.


Inmate records show that all of these individuals currently have immigrant detainers and will remain in custody until released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means they are in this country illegally.
