Letter of the day – The Conservative Woman

Dear Editor

For once I have to congratulate the Guardian on their detailed report of the Artemis crew splash down after a historic ten day mission and and record breaking moon flyby. But why so little excitement in the mainstream media about this first crewed flight around the moon in 50 years.? It was the furthest humans have ever gone from earth and the first time they were able to view the far side of the moon, something no human being has ever seen with their own eyes — not even the astronauts of the Apollo program, as this region of the moon was always too dark or difficult for them to reach. It also heralds a new era of regular lunar mission.

It’s sad that that such human achievement is not acknowledged by the mass media as it was in the past. Google AI explains the lack of ‘hype’ away in numerous ways. But it missed one identified in TCW last week, the pervasive effect of anti-Trump and anti- America prejudice. Could that have been it? I wonder
