Now it becomes a bit clearer. The Atlantic published a vile and unsubstantiated hit piece on FBI Director Kash Patel right before he revealed an indictment of the SPLC for committing fraud by anonymously funding hate groups that organized “right-wing” rallies, one of which ended in the death of a bystander.
You know, the infamous Charlottesville rally upon which the “fine people” hoax was based.
The Democrats and Pravda media, which have collaborated with the SPLC to smear conservatives for decades, are scrambling to defend the SPLC’s illegal activities and, once again, smear Republicans for pointing out their perfidy.
The Atlantic’s hit piece on Patel, based entirely on anonymous sources and having no evidence to back them up, is obviously intended to “pre-bunk” anything Patel says.
The claims in The Atlantic’s story were bizarre. Kash Patel got blackout drunk. He was locked out of his computers. FBI agents considered using breaching equipment to force open his door, according to the report. He was unable to perform his duties because he was hungover. Etc. Etc.
The whole point was to create a firestorm and generate a Congressional investigation, smearing Patel.
And that was the point of the Atlantic story. See how that works. https://t.co/WRjlc4twIQ

Laurene Powell Jobs owns The Atlantic. Well, guess what? The SPLC is Laurene Powell Jobs’ favorite charity. In fact, the very first one she gave money to. It is the only charity she talks about supporting publicly.
The Emerson Collective’s number one rule is to donate ANONYMOUSLY, which in most cases is the right and admirable thing to do
UNLESS it’s used to cover up bad deeds. Now, I’m NOT saying the LPJ was involved in the criminality at all.
But to what extent was she funding SPLC? 2/

The Atlantic has always leaned left, but ever since Jobs bought the magazine, it has become a dedicated left-wing outfit that focuses on smearing Donald Trump, his administration, and conservatives in general.

With connections so deep to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the chances that there is no connection between the completely unsubstantiated Patel story and the indictment of the SPLC seems…remote. It’s not like the SPLC had no warning this was coming. A grand jury produced the indictment, after all, and the organization knew it was in the crosshairs.
What better way to distract from the story and pre-bunk it than to discredit the FBI Director, whom the Democrats have been trying to destroy for years?
This is the letter we sent to The Atlantic and Sarah Fitzpatrick BEFORE they published their hit piece on FBI Director @FBIDirectorKash. They were on notice that the claims were categorically false and defamatory. They published anyway.

All the stories I have seen about Patel’s lawsuit against The Atlantic go into great detail about how hard it will be to prove “actual malice,” without addressing Patel’s underlying argument that the piece is thinly sourced and full of lies.
You would think that the fact that the story doesn’t surpass “National Enquirer”-level journalism would be relevant, but no. That would harm The Narrative.
There is a pending community note on this, but it is infuriating that a huge newspaper will just flat-out lie about the news
SPLC was not “indicted for paying sources”. They were indicted for wire fraud and making false statements. Just tell us the truth! It’s not that hard! https://t.co/ElkPzSEKKB

The SPLC is, in many ways, the political equivalent of ActBlue. SPLC uses legally questionable and ethically indefensible means to smear Republicans, while ActBlue uses legally questionable and ethically indefensible means to vacuum up money for the Democrats.
SPLC revenue before Charlotesville – $51,871,438
SPLC revenue after Charlotesville – $133,463,398The SPLC paid $270,000 to a Unite the Right Rally leader.

You can even donate to the SPLC through ActBlue. Two sides of the same coin, and both are in deep trouble.
No wonder the Democrats are in full attack mode. USAID can’t funnel them money. ActBlue is in deep legal jeopardy. And the SPLC is revealed to be one of the big funders of the “hate” they claim to be fighting.
It’s all an existential threat to their party. I wouldn’t say they are in a panic, exactly, because I don’t get reports from the other side of the aisle about their mood, but they are definitely in “drop the nukes” mode.
