The climate cult is a religion that pretends to be science. It has sinners and saints, heretics and adherents to the orthodoxy, and, of course, the Inquisition and at least metaphorical burning of witches.
Its more extreme advocates resort to violence and vandalism, but the establishment cultists become technocrats who use institutional power to punish the sinners.

In a move that perfectly captures the socialist ethos, these tyrants are limiting the amount of meat that senior citizens under the care of the state can have to a tiny portion of meat and depriving them of coffee as punishment for the overconsumption the socialists accuse them of.
Eat the lentils and enjoy them, sinners!
The city is on a jihad to reduce the climate impact of Copenhagen, which, one assumes, is the world’s major source of carbon dioxide or something.
The city, which has already, it claims, reduced its climate impact by 80% in recent years, is responsible for the tiniest fraction of all the CO2 emitted in the world, and its senior citizens in nursing homes, who do not drive or fly, or do much of anything else to emit CO2 aside from breathe, are being told to reduce their protein intake as they grow weaker in nursing homes.
This isn’t climate policy; it’s punishment for existing.
None of this should be surprising. Cults do these sorts of things all the time. And socialists use the power of the state to impose their insane policies, which is why they are so ruthless about gaining power.
Denmark is one of the world’s agricultural efficiency leaders, but the greenies in that country are closing farms to meet climate targets.
Maybe they can turn the elderly they punish and kill into Soylent Green. Kill two birds with one stone.
