Media’s shameful silence as yet another gang of Muslim rapists are jailed

TUESDAY’S silence was deafening. Not a single word from local MPs Kim Leadbeater (Labour) and Iqbal Mohamed (Independent/Palestine), although at least muftis and imams were clamouring to reach the top of the town hall steps to beg the public’s forgiveness for their medieval cult’s defiling of little white girls. Only joking, obviously. I mean, another 20 child rapists banged up for 277 years? It’s hardly news any more around Dewsbury and Batley.

After nearly three years of reporting restrictions, West Yorkshire Police finally delivered their sanitised self-pat on the back at putting away 19 Pakistani Muslim gang-rapists who abused three girls, one as young as 12, in the two towns dating back to the 1990s. A white woman, Donna Lynn, got three years for helping facilitate the attacks, while two more Muslim men were declared unfit to stand trial.

You’d imagine feeling a sense of satisfaction at news of rapists finally getting their just deserts, one jailed for 28 years. Plenty of callous murderers get far lesser sentences, so 28 years? It must have been horrific, but the reporting restriction ploy ensures we never get to know how bad. And still, I can’t help feeling frustrated at too many guilty parties blithely walking the streets in their police uniforms or carrying their social worker satchels. All of these hundreds, thousands, of young white girls across the country sacrificed at the altar of ‘community cohesion’ and protecting Labour’s Muslim vote. I see only partial justice here, at best.

In this particular case I couldn’t help but wonder ‘why now’? These crimes dated from 1995 to 2003, resulting in six separate trials taking place from July 2023 to September 2024, hence those reporting restrictions being imposed. While nominally protecting judicial integrity, it conveniently hides the horrors those children suffered and the terrors those beasts inflicted. The last rapist was sentenced in 2025 but it’s taken until now to release the info. Why? In today’s Britain, it’s natural to be suspicious of ulterior motives, sadly.

You’d also think such a mass conviction would be headline news. Once upon a time, maybe, and then only briefly. I couldn’t find mention of this case on the Daily Telegraph, the Times or the Daily Mail’s news apps (it may have been tucked away somewhere) although the Daily Mail did have Monday’s sentencing of six Dewsbury Pakistanis who bludgeoned and stabbed a man to death in a local park after an argument. I can’t imagine what that was about, although their neighbourhood is very much drug-dealing (and rape-ganging) central.

As the months roll by without any noticeable progress in the Statutory Independent Inquiry into Grooming Gangs, with just a ‘Terms of Reference’ word-soup issued and only Oldham identified as being the focus of a local investigation, Dewsbury and Batley must be wondering what it takes to get noticed.

Twenty banged up this time, but even that pales in comparison to 2022’s Operation Tourway trials which saw 25 rapists jailed for a total of 346 years, those offences again hidden behind reporting restrictions. Given that these two investigations have dealt with offences only up to 2012, one has to wonder how much more is to come. I recall another four locals getting a combined 50 years jail time for the 2014 rapes of girls aged 13 and 15, but these small-time ‘isolated’ abuse/rape cases almost go unnoticed these days.

They don’t go unnoticed by the victims of course, their bravery belatedly recognised, or their parents in cases where the children still have plausible parents who were supposedly caring for them. Where the state has taken that responsibility for vulnerable young girls, it’s difficult to imagine that these abuses haven’t carried on at some level. Offences uncovered up to 2012, fine, but these evil rapists were living free and easy until police pounced in 2019, when they arrested almost 100 men.

You’d like to think that punitive sentences of up to 30 years would be a huge deterrent in themselves, but if the law has only managed to get to 2012 in terms of bringing the rape gangs to justice – in this cesspit at least – the good Lord alone knows how many guilty abusers are just hoping their victims keep their mouths shut. I worry desperately that some may have had their mouths shut permanently already, but that’s a rabbit hole none of us should feel comfortable disappearing down.

The wheels of justice turn slowly and the Independent Inquiry has already laid out a three-year timescale for its processes. Will it be as brazen and contrived a cover-up as Baroness Hallett’s embarrassing Covid-19 circus, or will we see senior police officers, social services managers, local authority politicians and various other establishment rape-gang conspirators finally marched into a crown court dock? I won’t hold my breath.
