Don’t expect biased West Yorkshire police boss to say sorry to the woman he fired for telling the truth

‘ELAINE’ is the anonymised name of the Bradford Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel chair who was sacked for stating that the world is round, oceans are deep and snow is cold. In other words, thrown on a pathetically submissive bonfire for stating the bleedin’ obvious in – shock horror – suggesting maniacal Islamist terrorists can be a social and cultural problem.

Elaine is seeking an apology from West Yorkshire Chief Constable Sir John Robins. If I may suggest, Elaine, while you’re at it, why don’t you write to Santa requesting a Lamborghini, or send a letter to the Grand Imam of Mecca’s Sacred Mosque, asking him to confirm or deny whether their prophet was a kiddie fiddler? I’d hazard you have about equal odds of a positive outcome in each case because Robins has built an entire career on taking the knee to West Yorkshire’s Muslim communities. Remember him wanting to ban police officer job applications from white people just last year?

The fact that this eminently sensible and qualified lady academic lasted as long as she did on this oversight body is stunning in itself, especially since the last time I looked every such panel across the county’s police divisions was headed by a Muslim man. The fact she was elected chair, replacing a Muslim male incumbent, probably marked her card from the off. They build their communities on being perennially offended, Elaine, so don’t take it personally. I once had a couple of hundred blocking the main arterial road outside the divisional police HQ because I’d suggested some of their numbers might actually support acts of terrorism. I can’t imagine why the chief inspector declined my offer to come along and talk to their leaders.

Elaine was participating in an online meeting discussing protections for Bradford’s Jewish community following the Muslim terror attack on a Manchester synagogue the previous day. Clearly she wasn’t reading the room, for the plentiful Muslims on the call insisted it was they who needed extra police protection because, as we’ve repeatedly seen across the country these past months, mobs of Jews are terrorising Pakistani communities night after night! Ahem.

This institutionalised sense of ideological entitlement is probably too ingrained now to do anything about it – under recent governments at least – but more people like Elaine need to challenge it and to keep stating uncomfortable truths about not just the radicals, but their game-playing community leaders who only have to open their whining mouths to have a chief superintendent like Bradford’s Richard Padwell cowering on his knees in obeisance.

In so many ways Islam is weaponised by its adherents as an all-encompassing excuse for basically hateful behaviour, from hounding good citizens like Elaine out of jobs, pleading for special treatment they would rabidly deny any other community, and all the while being shielded – by us – from properly rigorous denouncement of their many pre-medieval cultural traits, chief amongst them being first cousin marriage and their brazenly practised sharia courts.

Remaining briefly in Bradford, but also referencing the joke re-trial of the Pakistani men acquitted last week of the Manchester Airport police assaults, I would suggest we also need to examine, both closely and publicly, the make-up of juries in trials of Muslim men. A very high profile Muslim has been on trial at Bradford Crown Court since last October – eight months – and after several weeks of open court, reporting restrictions were suddenly imposed by the judge. I’ve no idea why.

I’m aware of highly unusual circumstances involving the jury in this trial and I simply hope that in the cause of actual justice, we are finally told the truth. But if jury make-up and verdicts are properly scrutinised and the numbers suggest what I think it is fair to suspect (given the Koranic obligations of Muslims to each other over we kuffar), it needs acting upon. Asking honest, probing questions shouldn’t bring down the wrath of anyone’s gods, but in this palsied, enfeebled state we’re enduring, it too often does. In closing, good on you, ‘Elaine’.
