Letter of the day – The Conservative Woman

Dear Editor

If we want to expel vile foreign-born criminals, such as the notorious racist grooming gang rapist Shabir Ahmed who has just been released from prison after serving 14 years of a 22-year sentence, we have to incentivise them to leave.

The answer is to look at how they dealt with this sort of problem long ago. In those days, the offender would have been banished from the kingdom ‘on pain of death’. With an incentive such as that there would be no need to engage in lengthy and often fruitless negotiations with a foreign country.

The banishee would be more than enthusiastic to leave. If they couldn’t arrange this through official channels, they would likely be able to engage the services of a people smuggler or failing that some do-gooder could transport them to the Continent in a boat or small plane.

Of course, occasionally some rogue would be bloody-minded about staying put or his luck would run out. Well, in that case, his crimes of rape or murder would have truly caught up with him. As to how we dispatch the vile criminal, I am sure every decent public house in the land has a couple of old soldiers who could quickly pick up the skills of a headsman or his assistants.
