‘IF YOU care about Britain’s future, Western civilisation, free speech, borders, Christianity and national identity,’ says Ben Habib, his conversation with Ayaan Hirsi Ali ‘goes to the heart of what is at stake – and what it will take to rescue and restore our country’. He is right.
Should you need confirmation of the remarkable woman that Ayaan is, for her courage, clarity of thought, sheer knowledge and for the lucidity of her communication, this interview provides it.
For the few who may not know who she is, you can look up her story Infidel: My Life here. It details an extraordinary journey from a Muslim upbringing in Somalia, enduring civil war, female genital mutilation and a forced marriage, to becoming an outspoken critic of Islam, culminating in her asylum in the Netherlands and eventual evolution into a parliamentarian and a fierce advocate for free speech and women’s rights. She became a Christian and explains her conversion here:
Since her former colleague, the Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh, was murdered in 2004 for confronting the Islamist threat, her life has been under constant threat for speaking out.
In this latest interview with Ben Habib, leader of Advance UK, she reviews the trajectory of Islam, the ‘triumph’ of ‘caliphate-driven’ fundamentalist Islam across the Muslim world over the last 25 years, and the existential threat this poses to Europe and the West given the demographics and our open borders immigration policy.
I found her account so instructive and educative that I was left thinking it should become a compulsory part of history and current affairs curricula in British schools before we sleepwalk into the Islamic State of not-so-Great Britain.
Ayaan Ali Hirsi has agreed to become a special adviser to the board of Advance UK. Ben Habib could have found no better person.
