Democrats never let an opportunity to incite and cheer on left-wing violence go to waste.
Since 2021, we have been treated to lectures about the “insurrection” at the Capitol and the dangers of “election denialism,” but the fact is that Democrats love violent protests and always deny that Republicans really lost close elections. Ask Hillary Clinton or Stacey Abrams about their losing campaigns and you get nonstop whining about how their elections were stolen.
Riots in the United States have almost exclusively been a tactic of the left, and political violence is as well. Republicans keep getting shot at by leftists, radical activists have been shooting up schools and assassinating people, trans terrorism is now a thing, and Democrat elected officials keep calling for more of it.

Hakeem Jeffries did so once again, calling for leftists to take to the streets to oppose Donald Trump and his administration. While Jeffries does not explicitly call for violence as so many other Democrats have (watch the second video), it’s pretty clear that he is no more averse to it than other Democratic Party leaders have been.
The modern leftist movement has its roots in the French Revolution, which, unlike the tradition (which has been the animating principle of the modern conservative movement), came from the Scottish Enlightenment. The conservatives are guided by the ideas of John Locke, Adam Smith, John Stuart Mill, and, of course, our Founding Fathers.
The Left has Robespierre, Marx, Engels, and Lenin.
It’s reason and compromise vs violence as the primary mechanism of political change.
The George Floyd riots were, to the Democrats, the “summer of love.”
This exchange actually happened on CNN about #CHAZ…….
Chris Cuomo: How long do you think Seattle in those few blocks looks like this?
Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan (D): I don’t know. We could have the summer of love! pic.twitter.com/ApIDfMN9RD

I keep on trying to distinguish between the left and the ordinary Democrat, and I stick by that assessment. The vast majority of Democrats don’t quite grasp how embedded political violence is in the leftist movements, nor do they understand how left-wing Democrat elected officials really are. The evidence is right there to see, but old habits die hard.
I can’t recount how many times I have spoken to a Democrat about 9th-month abortions, and they scoff. It doesn’t happen! Or how many don’t believe that children really ARE being sterilized and mutilated by extremist doctors. It doesn’t happen! They are like the people in the 60s and 70s who denied that the Soviet Union was anything more than a particularly generous welfare state and not an existential threat to our way of life.
Hakeem Jeffries, who is hardly as radically left as many in his party, still assumes that sending the brownshirts into the streets is a legitimate political tactic, just as Democrats were fine with union thugs beating up “scabs” during strikes in earlier times.
Mao famously said that “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun,” and in the most basic sense, it does. However, the achievement of liberal democracies was to turn our back on the use of political violence to resolve domestic disputes.
Ballots, not bullets, are supposed to be the appropriate way to settle disputes.
Leftists don’t believe that, which is why so many march to support and embrace Hamas. It is just who they are and what they believe.
