I guess they’re going to have another shutdown vote this afternoon. I just saw John Fetterman’s Xweet that he was off to vote ‘Open it up‘ yet again, as the only Democrat courageous enough to do so.





So, there’s a lot of drama right now, most of it coming from Democrats and poor travelers simply trying to survive airport security lines.

Atlanta today didn’t seem like anyplace anyone would want to be.

The view from above was even more gruesome.

Houston this morning.

And ‘La Garbage‘ in New York City, as our Daddy, the Eastern Airlines captain, fondly called it when he was flying out of there (La Guardia was actually built on the site of a city dump, which caused all sorts of havoc as the refuse underneath the build fill kept rotting, and expensive new terminal walls began cracking as the detritus beneath them settled.).





Flying in this day and age is torturous enough, but add in the frisson of concern thanks to the Iranian operation, and the fact that these TSA agents are looking at a third missed paycheck, while working some incredible hours to make-up for the sick-ins and those who have flat-out quit, and you get a slice of Hell on earth if you have to be somewhere.

And are nobody, as most of us are.

While everyone is focused on TSA because, obviously, the airport line visuals are gobsmacking, I would like to point out that the Coast Guard is in the same situation – unpaid, underappreciated, and STILL ON THE FRICKIN’ JOB 24/7. 

And those kids don’t get to call in or walk out.

They’re not getting any love in any of the conversations right now, and I personally find that abhorrent and so damn disrespectful. The military is so often an afterthought, just suffering along while these politicians play their games and create the martyrs they think will do them the most good in front of a camera.

For example. In all the showmanship about TSA, the Coasties are never mentioned.





And Schumer has kept up his fantasy game of ‘we’re being so reasonable.’

And it is true – this is the third time the Democrats have cut TSA workers off in the past six months. It’s really getting ridiculous. Senators don’t lose a paycheck.

So Schumer just announced that Democrats would force another up or down piecemeal vote this afternoon, purely on funding the TSA.

I’m not really sure why Republicans aren’t fighting back harder against this. I mean, go to the mattresses, for God’s sake.

Besides the simple truth of that messaging, there’s also the fact that nothing is ever as clean as Democrats claim. The ‘pay the TSA’ bills are laden with Democrat garbage, all hidden under the guise of a charity act.

How mean are Republicans that they won’t approve, so far, going on five separate, ever-so-generous Democrat offers to make airport lines shorter and pay those poor, starving TSA workers?





Oh, pretty mean, especially since they can read a bill that’s been packed with poison pills.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune is keeping everyone over the weekend – there’s going to be no recess. He wants this settled as well as the SAVE Act.

Considering the sneks Thune has to deal with in his own party and his absolute unwillingness to hammer them, I’m not sure how successful the efforts will be.

For Democrats, the pressure has to be insane…just like them. Former DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson has once again called for them to reopen the government, particularly in such a heightened threat environment.

It is unbelievably irresponsible. 

Democrats seem awfully willing to take enormous risks with American lives to protect and defend illegal aliens.

And there went the vote for the whole enchilada.





It’s a dangerous game.

All for keeping illegal alien criminals in the country…

Democrats are forcing a DHS shutdown to make sure ICE can’t stop illegals from going to polling stations and voting 

“We want an explicit prohibition that ICE can go nowhere near any polling sites in the United States of America. It’s one of our demands. We’re not gonna bend on it.”





…and ICE away from the illegals.

It’s as simple as that.
