Dear Editor
Nearly everything in life has minimum requirements: entry to college or university, the fuel in your car, working in a trade or profession, indeed, even marriage.
The appalling demonstration last weekend in London in support of the Iranian theocracy and mourning the death of the tyrant Ali Khamanei demonstrates that we also need minimum requirements for living in Britain.
At the very least any person resident in Britain should not be hostile to our country and its way of life and should not be in league with our implacable enemies.
We should be much more choosy over which foreigners we allow to come here. Those holding extreme anti-Western views should be barred in all circumstances. Those British citizens who prefer the Iranian theocracy over Western democracy should be stripped of their citizenship.
