Letter of the day – The Conservative Woman

Dear Editor

I write in response to Bruce Newsome’s recent criticisms of Reform UK. The right to criticise is essential in keeping us from tyranny, but under the same rules, I’m entitled to respond.

Reform is not perfect.

Nigel Farage is not perfect.

No political party or individual is perfect and never will be, hence I don’t intend going down the rabbit hole of addressing each criticism in turn, however valid. Politics is like life, you can never have everything you want.

I’ll simply state that no other politician of Farage’s generation has done more in establishing an alternative credible political movement to the Uniparty globalist grifter establishment that has run this country for the last 25 years.

Bruce Newsome is misguided if he thinks the fortunes of the Tories will be reignited under Kemi Badenoch. Let’s look at her track record. Under Boris Johnson she presented herself as an ardent Brexiteer, keen to have bonfire of EU laws. Alas, she proved unable to resist the allure of power, and under Sunak sold her soul for a cabinet position. When I started drafting this letter I intended listing at least ten policy failures of Bruce’s Conservatives, each of which represented a failed opportunity, but in the interest of keeping this communication short I will desist.

As for Advance UK, I have the greatest admiration for Ben Habib. He is principled, intelligent, articulate, passionate, capable and a great asset to any political movement. His departure from Reform was regrettable, but unlike some, I will not comment further on what I don’t know.

To any Advance UK members/supporters who are dissatisfied with and have contempt for Reform, I would like to ask them what their voting intentions would be assuming Advance UK is not ready to field candidates in the next general election. The Labour party perhaps, or not voting at all? In either case, they won’t be able to complain when the Uniparty dishes more of the same on us.

The next election will be the most important of the last 100 years. For the sake of our future, and our children’s future, I would respectfully ask that we put our differences aside and work together. I fear that after another four years of this wretched Labour administration, the country will be beyond saving.
