I AM GOING to keep this short, people. It gives me no pleasure to say ‘I told you so’, but I did.
Some time ago I pointed out that one of the reasons for the child rape that went virtually unchallenged in Rotherham was because the sexual revolution destroyed working-class families, removing fathers from young girls and leaving them defenceless against predators.
I said: ‘The perpetrators were disproportionately of Pakistani heritage. Why did they target white girls over girls in their own community? I am not a criminologist so these issues are difficult to answer, but to me this is the clash of the patriarchies – one that no longer exists and one that is poisonous.’
I also said: ‘The rapists . . . did not target girls in their own community because those girls have fathers and brothers to protect them. If the abusers targeted girls in their own community they would end up in a dumpster or deep river.’
At a recent trial, six Asian men were jailed for their role in the ‘degradation’ and rape of a child who was used for sex by more than 60 adults from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, from 2006 to 2012.
Judge John Bevan QC condemned the men’s ‘grotesque’ exploitation of the girl, adding that such criminals perhaps targeted white girls because of the opportunity presented by ‘inadequate parenting leading to rebellious children’.
He also said: ‘If they had pursued Asian under-age girls, they would have paid a heavy price in their community.’
