Two young girls who were reported as missing Sunday morning from their Soddy Daisy home were found by police at a Nashville residence with two adult men.

The girls, who were ages 12 and 13, were reported missing by their parents on Sunday, January 19.

A news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office states that police determined that the girls had been chatting with a Nashville man on social media.

Police were able to identify the man as 21-year-old Isaac Schellsmidt and were able to locate a Nashville address for him.

HCSO requested the assistance of the Metro Nashville Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in locating the girls. MNPD officers went to the home and found both girls, in the company of Schellsmidt and another man.

WKRN reports that court records indicate that Schellsmidt picked the girls up at a location near the home early Sunday morning and drove them back to his residence in Nashville, where he then had sex with the 13-year-old female.

Schellsmidt allegedly told officers that he was aware of the girls’ ages when he went to Hamilton County to pick them up and that he also knew the parents had reported them as missing.

He was booked into the Metro jail on a $75,000 bond. He is charged with two felonies – especially aggravated kidnapping and statutory rape – and three misdemeanors – solicitation of a minor and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
