I’m so caught up in you, little tabs …
Imagine throwing a “No Kings” protest after your party refused to hold a primary, coronated Kamala without a single vote, sued to keep RFK Jr. off the ballot, and attempted to remove Trump from state ballots only after your illegal lawfare scheme failed.
If there was a modern…

Ed: Let’s not forget how the same people tried to keep Joe Biden propped up on his throne like a modern George III, too. Democrats should rename themselves the Projection Party.

Scott Johnson at Power Line: Bruce Springsteen is the headliner at the flagship No Kings rally at the state Capitol in Saint Paul this afternoon. Joan Baez, Jane Fonda, and Bernie Sanders are also primed to appear. Truth in advertising would require the rally to be redesignated Gimme That Old Time Religion or In Search of Lost Time. As the Rolling Stones once trilled, “What a drag it is getting old.”
Tim Walz, Keith Ellison, and Ilhan Omar will also be there. They wouldn’t want to miss the chance to rag on the King. Opposing the King has become the lodestone of their careers. Contrary to the theme of the proceedings, it comes at no cost and places them at no risk. Abe Greenwald aptly observed in the Commentary newsletter: “Trump is such an oppressive emperor that Americans have felt completely secure in coming out to publicly protest him and his administrations more than they have any previous president. His suppression machine is clearly on the fritz.”
Ed: Seth Liebsohn and I talked about these octogenarians and their desperate attempts to relive the 1960s. I mentioned a scene from “The Big Chill,” in which one of the characters insists that the revolution was real and they really changed the world. In truth, the “revolution” was all about entitled brats refusing to grow up … and they still haven’t. Try watching “The Big Chill” these days, and that pattern becomes clear; it’s about a group of self-involved activists who resent adulthood, albeit portrayed by some of the best actors of that generation.

Flashback: Joe Biden attempts to decree a non-existent Constitutional Amendment into law, just because he said so.
“It’s the law of the land, now!”
The No Kings types clapped and cheered. pic.twitter.com/RM9S8TTx9B

Ed: “L’etat, c’est moi!” We had a lot of fun with that episode of Biden’s cognitive collapse, but many of those who cheer on the No Kings conceit really argued that Biden could amend the Constitution by decree. “Needless to say again, no one took Biden’s proclamation seriously,” I wrote in July 2025. “And when I say no one, I mean even the outer reaches of perceived liberal bias on the bench, known officially as the Ninth Circuit.”

“No kings!” they yelled, listening to Bernie Sanders, who’s been in congress longer than the reign of Henry VIII.
— Skeletor 🧼🧽🫧 (@TheMuppetPastor) March 28, 2026
Ed: Sanders has been in Congress since 1991, just passing his 35th anniversary. Only ten British monarchs ruled for longer periods, although Henry VIII is actually one of them (37 years, nine months, seven days).

Ed: “We’re oppressed!” screamed the people who face literally no consequences for making such claims. Thirty-two thousand Iranians might have something to say about that … if they hadn’t been brutally murdered by the regime that Trump is trying to eliminate.
===
Ed: I’m surprised it took the Houthis this long to get into the war. Firing one missile doesn’t exactly change the nature of the conflict, but it might give the Saudis a focal point for their anger over attacks by Iran. The Houthis and the civil war in Yemen have been a thorn in their side for years, and now that the Houthis are threatening Riyadh’s alternate distribution for oil shipping, they could decide to put an end to that part of Iran’s encirclement strategy for good.

CBS News: More than 3,500 U.S. troops, including the USS Tripoli with about 2,500 Marines, arrived in the Middle East, officials announced Saturday, as strikes in the Iran war intensified.
The U.S. Central Command said in a social media post that the USS Tripoli, which serves as the flagship for the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group / 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, arrived in its area of responsibility.
It’s the most updated of the amphibious warships, known as a “big deck,” which allows more room for F-35 Stealth Fighter Jets, Ospreys and other aircraft. The ship had previously been based in Japan when the order to deploy to the Middle East came almost two weeks ago.
Central Command said that in addition to the Marines, the Tripoli also brings transport and strike fighter aircraft, as well as amphibious assault assets to the region. The USS Boxer and two other ships, along with another Marine Expeditionary Unit, have also been ordered to the region from San Diego.
Ed: This opens up a lot of options for CENTCOM and Trump. The USS Boxer and its group will essentially double those options when it arrives sometime in the next few days. By the time the new April 6 deadline arrives. these assets will be in place – but that deadline relates to strikes on energy infrastructure in Iran, not on the islands in the Gulf. In the meantime, those air assets will be put to good use in targeting Iranian assets that threaten shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

🚨NEW: Stephen A. Smith: “You got a lot of d*mn nerves to say for numerous admins, ‘Iran is a problem. They have to be dealt with.’ & then Trump deals with them. & then all of a sudden you’re complaining about him now. It doesn’t really make sense.”

Ed: They wanted Iran “dealt with” by offering appeasement deals like the JCPOA and then shrug when the mullahs got nukes. If you have not watched my interview with former Undersecretary of State Robert Joseph yet, be sure to catch it this weekend. Joseph makes this point even better than I have.

Free Beacon: Politico published a cartoon on Friday featuring anti-Semitic imagery in an attempt to criticize the war in Iran. The image depicts President Donald Trump, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Republican members of Congress wearing blood-covered Jewish prayer shawls and yarmulkes.
The cartoon, drawn by former New York Post cartoonist Sean Delonas, depicts the lawmakers aboard a rowboat labeled “Ship of Neocons”—a play on the Hieronymus Bosch painting Ship of Fools—that is about to plummet over a waterfall. A bag of blood-smeared money crowns the mast, and the word “Amalek,” a reference to a historical enemy of the Jewish people from the Hebrew Bible, appears in the background.
Netanyahu, depicted with an exaggerated nose, is also shown wearing a blood-covered Jewish prayer shawl and eating from a table covered in blood, while Trump, also in a Jewish prayer shawl, is drawn underneath the word “Amalek.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.), who is not Jewish, is depicted wearing a yarmulke and a Jewish prayer shawl and holding a bottle of blood. Graham and Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), also drawn in a blood-covered Jewish prayer shawl, have supported the Iran war and are longtime supporters of Israel.
Ed: Lots of masks dropping these days, including in the Protection Racket Media. Despicable. Click through to see the cartoon, which is as bad as it sounds. On top of being virulently anti-Semitic, the cartoon ignores the ways in which Iran has conducted war against the US over the last 47 years and openly claimed to want to destroy the “Great Satan,” chanting “Death to America” since deposing the Pahlavis.

They never saw Trump coming.
They never thought that anybody would make them pay for their own defense.
The UK and NATO just expected the U.S. taxpayers to pay for their military defense forever.
Now they are defenseless and broke.
Reality hitting them right in the face. https://t.co/qaTQcPHZwl
