Seen elsewhere: This week in the ‘alt’ media

RAPE and fire have consumed the ‘alt’ media this last week, as they have the MSM, but predictably the ‘alt’ angles have been somewhat different. I make no excuses therefore for focusing on both scandals, starting with:

The LA fire catastrophe

Yesterday Laura alerted us to Victor Davis Hanson’s explanation of the tragedy as ‘a DEI Green New Deal Disaster, something out of Dante’s InfernoThe Federalist on how ‘California’s DEI-Obsessed Anarchotyrants Threw Money At Everything But Water And Firefighters’ is also well worth reading.

If you have a Daily Wire subscription you can read Ben Shapiro’s devastating account of California’s Governor Gavin Newsom blaming everyone but himself

If you don’t, you can watch him discussing the same subject on his Ben Shapiro Show with his analysis of California’s catastrophic mismanagement here, and below on why ‘a huge amount of the disaster is government policy’.

Back to The Federalist for a disturbing report that Newsom asked Biden to help silence ‘mis- and disinformation’ as wildfire spread across Los Angeles. ‘It breaks my heart as people are suffering and struggling that we’re up against those hurricane force, forces as well,’ Newsom said on Friday in a video call with Biden. ‘I ask you, we’ve got to deal with this misinformation.’ Ha! he won’t get any help on that front from Trump.

Finally from Turley Talks, Dr Steve Turley, a Californian Pastor destroys the Democrats and Gavin Newsom in particular, from the pulpit. You can listen to him here on the Californian Governor’s shocking downfall, a man who destroyed his own career.

Pakistani gang rape, Labour cover-up and the stench of corruption

British social media is still on fire with ever more Pakistani rape gang corruption cover-up revelations, which the MSM is still defending itself over yet is still failing to investigate, let alone investigate itself.

Matt Goodwin’s article ‘The elite class doesn’t care about white working-class girls. A reply to my critics’ is worth reading if you haven’t yet. Several prominent journalists, Matthew Syed and David Aaronovitch among them, had taken to X/Twitter to criticise Goodwin, saying it was nonsense and claiming they had been all over this scandal. He proves them wrong.

Further proof of the shallow nature of MSM reportage and investigation came with Mahyar Tousi’s long interview with ‘grooming gang whistleblower’ Raja Miah who claims responsibility for exposing the cover up of the gang rape of children in his town, Oldham. He describes with named and incident detail those in the local authority who were complicit in protecting Pakistani rape gangs in Oldham, how they did it and why.

Curiously Raja Miah, a Muslim awarded an MBE for his social integration work, does not appear to have been approached by anyone from the MSM despite his reaching out to them.

International response to Britain’s ‘grooming gang’ scandal?

Well, it is not doing British soft power foreign policy much good if this formidable ‘conversation’ from DD India (an Indian public broadcasting service) is anything to go by.

The Musk-Farage-Robinson sideshow

It is hard not to get diverted from the real story we should keep focussing on, which is the 25-year failure to stop the abuse and torture of thousands of white British girls or to bring the perpetrators and ‘silencers’ to justice. That’s the danger of this secondary drama. However praise is due to Reform MP Rupert Lowe, a born diplomat who, in Ex British Army Paz 49’s view, has led by example:

Ad hominems and allegations flying around on the MSM haven’t helped the story die. They led Mahyar Tousi to ask whether Farage had cocked up again. Here he provides solid defence in response to what Robinson’s ex wife says are false allegations about his violence to women and also white supremacy smears.

However Farage has to be given credit for being the only senior British politician to date to question Robinson’s solitary confinement sentence. Here is Farage explaining his attitude to Robinson in what the tweeter InevitableWest described as a ‘loosening on Tommy’.

Meanwhile Elon Musk, who’s been the target of abuse, disparagement and anger from across the MSM, receives a paean of praise from Daniel Jupp. Jupp’s article puts to bed many of the false narratives circulating and reveals some of the true character of the man.

The final word on the Musk-Farage row though goes to Katie Hopkins who, when she is good, is very, very good. She thinks there is less a fundamental disagreement than a difference of priorities. For Musk the First Amendment, as for so many Americans, is practically printed into his genetic code. That’s where he is coming from. Farage, the pragmatist, knows he must achieve political power in order to get any change going in the UK and stop two-tier justice. He is not yet the Prime Minister-elect. He has yet to get there.

What no one can disagree with is the disgrace that is the Home Office’s refusal to publish the number of grooming gang members who have been deported. The Black Barrister goes into this appalling failure here.

Democracy suspended – taxation without representation

Another big story, to which the MSM has, so far, given minimal scrutiny, is the 11 local councils who have in effect applied to cancel their upcoming May elections.

Why this has come about and how they are ‘getting away’ with this is down to crooked Labour’s devolution policy as well as to opportunistic Tory councils is explained clearly here by LocalGovernmentLawyer, and also reported on by Mahyar Tousi here. Needless to say it is wrong and will uniquely damage and disadvantage Reform UK.

Leaving the ECHR – don’t we want to?

Why has this petition for a debate on leaving received so little traction? Have you signed it or tweeted it yet?  You can here.

Jumping for joy

Belated (my apols) but not to be missed from January 6 was this reaction to Trudeau’s resignation – an eruption of cheers and literal jumping for joy, a joy in itself to watch!

Trudeau gone but beware Bill Gates, sadly still going strong

An alert here from The People’s Voice reveals that he is busy developing new technology to force bird flu mRNA jabs ‘with or without our consent’. You can watch here on Rumble.

On a cheerier front some signs that the NetZero may be unravelling

So thinks Cumberland Noos who report on ‘the Banker rats’ scurrying to exit the Banking club – the Net-Zero Banking Alliance which was formed in 2021 ‘to “bully” its lenders into compliance with the Globalists climate change agenda of achieving net-zero by 2050’. Has the Alliance collapsed due to the drill, drill, drill supporting incoming President Trump? He thinks so.

Yahoo Finance reports that Morgan Stanley (MS), Citigroup (C), Bank of America (BAC), Goldman Sachs (GS), and Wells Fargo (WFC) are among the major banks that have left the Net Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA).

And finally – the 2025 Presidential Inauguration Schedule

If you want to clear your diaries at all, it all kicks off next Saturday, January 18 with a reception and fireworks at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia and ends with the National Prayer Service on Tuesday January 21.
