Finally, at long last, I give you the real definition of boof.
Boof: To corruptly vote for legislation that favors a spouse or loved one, breaking ethics rules. Damn that Senator Sheldon Whitehouse has been boofing for his wife for years. You can even say the scammer boofed the person in question. My girlfriend was stressed out at work – the grants her environmental NGO applied for were not coming in. She calmed down when I boofed her.
Boofing, of course, was the obsession of Senator Whitehouse in 2018, when he was hunting down beers and yearbooks in a quest to destroy Brett Kavanaugh. As Hot Air readers well know, I was swept up in that nightmare. The details are in my book The Devil’s Triangle. The Democrats and the media tried to paint me and Kavanaugh and sexual criminals, drunks and drug addicts.
Yes, in my book I address the boofing issue. Boofing entered the national language during Brett’s nomination when Whitehouse found the phrase in the 1983 high school yearbook of Georgetown Prep, where Brett and I had gone to school together.
Why was Whitehouse examining our yearbook? It’s amazing but even many years later people don’t fully get it. Let me distill it to its essence. Psychotic and criminal opposition researchers made up stories that while in high school Brett and I were drugging and gang-raping girls. Rather than look for evidence – of course there was none – idiots like Sheldon Whitehouse, a cross between Sylvester the Cat and Torquemada, tried to retrofit the non-existent evidence. Thus, anything that we did or said in the 1980s might be, could be, hell was, evidence that we were running a drug and gang rape cartel.
Thus boofing. A silly slang phrase that to the best of my recollection had something to do with farting, boofing became part of the “evidence” that Whitehouse was using to derail Kavanaugh. The senator was incensed that I would not march down to Capitol Hill and, without due process, sit there while he counted how many bars I drank and how many girls I dated in high school. (I’ve slowly climbed back from that storm, and my tip jar is here.)
Boofing is on my mind again because the Master Boofer himself, Sheldon Whitehouse, is in the news. From Fox News:
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., is being accused of violating ethics rules after backing laws that financially benefited his wife’s environmental organization.
The Democratic senator and climate hawk voted for key laws that provided funding for grants to the environmental non-profit group that works with his wife, Sandra Whitehouse, and pays her through a consulting firm.
The ethics watchdog, the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), is asking the Senate Select Committee on Ethics Chairman James Lankford, R-Okla., and Vice Chairman Chris Coons, D-Del., to investigate Whitehouse “to determine whether he violated the Senate ethics rules on conflicts of interest.” The group works primarily to draw attention to potential Democratic lawmaker ethics violations.
A few months ago, Whitehouse issued a report that alleges the investigation into Kavanaugh six years ago into allegations of sexual assault by then-supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was “flawed and incomplete.” Whitehouse, D-R.I., criticized the FBI for not “following up” on thousands of tips it received, but rather passing them along to the White House. “The supplemental background investigation was flawed and incomplete, as the FBI did not follow up on numerous leads that could have produced potentially corroborating or otherwise relevant information,” the report said.
Nonsense. ”We followed the normal procedures for a Supreme Court nominee to do his background investigation,” Mike Davis, the former chief counsel for nominations to former Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, told Fox News. “And the Senate does its own investigation.” Davis noted that Democrats in the Senate “refused to cooperate” during Kavanaugh’s confirmation procedure. “We had witnesses come in for live testimony, including Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh,” he pointed out. “They came in for live testimony. And the Senate Democrats are saying that the FBI didn’t investigate all the tips that came in.”
“There were thousands and thousands and thousands of tips that came in,” he added. “Those tips were printed. Every one of those tips was printed, and it was delivered to the Senate for every senator to review.” Every senator had access to all the tips, Davis explained, “but they could have also asked for an investigation or “done the investigation themselves with their own staff.” Most of the tips were “garbage.”
Enough. The American Stasi lost and Sheldon Whitehouse is a terrible human being and a hypocrite. The fact that he has been boofing the missus shouldn’t be a surprise.
