Press Release

The 27-year-old driver of a Dodge Charger was arrested last night during a Street Racer Initiative after he evaded officers twice.

The Charger was seen driving at a high rate of speed on Nolensville Pike at Harding Place when a traffic stop was attempted.

The Charger fled and was followed by MNPD Aviation to Edmondson Pike near Old Hickory Boulevard where officers attempted a second traffic stop. The Charger once again failed to yield, traveling at 100 miles per hour and passing vehicles in center turn lanes to evade police.

Officers were able to successfully take the driver, Frank Eduardo Reyes-Borrayo, of Dickerson Pike, into custody after the Charger backed into a parking space in the 2500 block of Murfreesboro Pike. A semi-automatic pistol was recovered from the driver’s side door.

Reyes-Borrayo is not a U.S. citizen and cannot lawfully possess a firearm.

He is charged with felony reckless endangerment, not having a driver’s license, unlawful possession of a firearm, and two counts of evading arrest. He remains jailed in lieu of $27,000 bond.
