Illegal aliens have been arrested on criminal charges in both Davidson and Knox counties recently, including drug charges, vandalism and theft, and failure to appear on assault charges.
46-year-old Natanael Reyes-Rodriguez was arrested in Davidson County on Tuesday, October 14 on charges of vandalism between $1000 and $2500. He was booked on a $5000 bond.
Police arrested 22-year-old Carlos Caceres on Thursday, October 16. Caceres was charged with possession of cocaine, possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance, evading arrest in a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon during a dangerous felony, and failure to appear. The FTA charge was in relation to a felony charge of aggravated assault (strangulation) that occurred in May 2024.
Also arrested in Davidson County on October 16 was 18-year-old Gelson Verela Dubon. Dubon was charged with possession of equipment with intent to commit theft, possession of burglary tools, alteration of identification numbers, felony possession of a prohibited weapon, evading arrest, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was booked on a total $30,000 bond.
In Knox County, several illegal aliens were arrested over the last couple of days:
• Mei Li (44 years old) – arrested October 15 – impersonation of a licensed professional
• Pedro Cancap Caba (28 years old) – arrested October 15 – driving while license revoked, failure to surrender license upon cancellation, failure to comply with financial responsibility law
• Alexis Omar Martinez Vasquez (35 years old) – arrested October 16 – simple possession/casual exchange, criminal trespassing, failure to provide name to officer
Inmate records show that all of the above named individuals now have immigrant detainers.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means that these individuals are in the country illegally.
