Great Barrier Reef Con Exposed
We all know that the Australia’s Great Barrier Reef (GBR) is dying because of global warming, along with the rest of the world’s coral. After all, the MSM have been telling us so for years.
Except that back in the real world, the GBR continues to flourish, with coral coverage setting records in the last couple of years, despite repeated claims of bleaching.

Many of the fake claims originate from the Australian Institute of Marine Science, AIMS, a well-funded quango reporting to the Minister for the Environment and Water. As with so much of climate science, money talks. Even now their website ignores the actual condition of the Reef, stating instead:
“Climate change is the greatest threat to the long-term future of coral reefs. Warming ocean temperatures and ocean acidification increase the vulnerability of coral reefs to coral bleaching, diseases, and tropical cyclones. “

This nonsense ignores the fact that the GBR has been in existence for thousands of years, during most of which time temperatures have been higher than now.
One of Australia’s leading reef experts, Dr Peter Ridd, has spent years fighting this abuse of science, losing his job at the James Cook University as a consequence of having the temerity to challenge establishment science.
In his latest video he explains just how AIMS cooked the books two decades ago to justify their theory that the reef was dying.
Since 2005, AIMS has steadfastly refused to update their measurements or respond to Ridd’s criticism. They of course have no interest in getting to the truth of the matter. They have already achieved their objective of propagating the big lie that the reef is dying off – a lie that has gone around the world.

We are used to corny disaster movies, but now the Met Office has decided to get in on the act, warning us “Unprecedented changes to North Atlantic winds could have major impacts on UK weather”.
Their report goes on:
“A groundbreaking study reveals that the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) could reach unprecedented magnitudes by the end of the century, leading to severe impacts such as increased flooding and storm damage in northern Europe.
The NAO is a large-scale atmospheric pressure see-saw in the North Atlantic and is a key driver of winter weather patterns in the UK, western Europe and eastern USA. It is measured by the gradient between high pressure over the Azores and low pressure over Iceland and controls the strength of the prevailing winds.
Their prognostications have little more in common with reality than films like The Day After Tomorrow!
Measurements of the NAO, all based on actual data, go as far back as 1824, thanks to the work of Phil Jones, he of Climategate fame. The series clearly shows no long term trends whatsoever, despite the warming of the climate since the depths of the Little Ice Age.
If the Met Office is correct, we would have expected to see signs of the NAO becoming more extreme already:

As so often with climate science, the Met Office’s silly scare story is based on computer models, which can produce whatever results you want if you programme them accordingly.
The models also assume “very high concentrations of greenhouse gases”, which most experts have derided as being impossible.
This latest piece of nonsense is another example of how the Met Office have lost their reputation for scientific excellence, dumped to pursue a political agenda.
But don’t worry, we can avoid all of these floods and storms, as long as we pay our penance to the Climate Gods and give up fossil fuels – in the words of the Met Office:
“However, these impacts could be mitigated through efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. “
