Who could have guessed that recruiting recent African migrants who can’t speak English to become officers in the Canadian military would turn out to be a bad idea?
Not me. I have been reliably informed that diversity is our strength, that migrants inject new vitality into our ossified societies, and that we need DEI to decolonialize our racist societies.
But, it turns out, that these truths are not so self-evident.
the Canadian military now has entire platoons of fresh off the boat rapey African migrants feuding over Cameroonian vs. Côte d’Ivoire tribal grudges https://t.co/uomXycwVdf pic.twitter.com/DD3upqBLQe

In a leaked report, the Commandant of the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School, Lieutenant Colonel M.R. Kieley described the effects of changes to recruiting standards implemented to speed up the enlargement of the Canadian military in response to our NATO allies throwing a hissy fit over Donald Trump’s criticism of them.
The consequences are not good, and especially not good when it comes to the rushed recruitment of new migrants to Canada from Africa.
A confidential Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School report has revealed a complete breakdown in basic officer training following a surge in permanent resident enrolment.
One French-language platoon, which had over 80 per cent non-citizens, was reportedly wracked by an inability to communicate fluently, a lack of respect towards female CAF members and infighting between Cameroonian and Côte d’Ivoire candidates.
The Quebec platoon saw fewer than one in two recruits graduate, while allegations of racial discrimination were made in multiple directions, from candidates against staff and between candidates of opposing ethnic blocs themselves. Additionally, command saw “challenges” in training permanent residents as they lacked “respect towards women” peers and superiors.
“For many candidates it is the first time they have lived with members of a different sex, and for some it is also the first time they have been expected to treat women as their peers,” explained the confidential report.
“Platoons are also reporting inter-candidate cultural frustrations, with lack of respect towards women being the most common concern.”
Shocking, I know. Who could have guessed that importing people from countries where rape is used as a method of war and where rapes are rarely prosecuted would lead to military recruits who don’t respect or follow the orders of female officers?
And finding out that people from countries where ethnic violence is rampant will bring those rivalries to Canada? Who could have guessed?
Why, you may wonder, are migrants who have been in Canada for as little as 3 months being recruited into the officer ranks?

Gee, I don’t know. Perhaps it is because the country is obsessed with race and sexuality, and views white males as the real problem in society. Job postings in government positions now regularly exclude white males. I haven’t seen any quotes as bad as the one from the Royal Air Force, which purged “useless white males” from the ranks of their pilots, but perhaps it’s just not in writing.
The British air force will pay compensation to dozens of white men it discriminated against. Officers delayed selection boards in order to try to recruit more women & non-whites. “I don’t really need to see loads of useless white male pilots,” one said. https://t.co/eH4Ha7Cqtk

Canadians, it appears, are not so interested in serving in their own armed forces, so candidate classes—again, for officers—are made up of up to 80% foreigners, some just off the boat.
The most dramatic example unfolded in a French-language Basic Military Officer Qualification (BMOQ) platoon that was 83% permanent residents, many of whom had been in Canada for as little as three months. This comes at a time when the CAF is boasting of record-setting recruitment levels.
Now I find it unsurprising that a refugee from Cameroon—where there has been a war between English-speaking and French-speaking Cameroonians for some time now, complete with war crimes, terrorism, school burnings, and the like—would jump at the chance of becoming an army officer. Pretty good job, you know.
Same with people from Côte d’Ivoire. Three months on the North American continent and BOOM!, you are on track to be an officer in the Army!
But why on Earth did any Canadian military leader think this would work out well for anybody? A military that is obsessed with DEI is recruiting soldiers who just came from countries that make homosexuality illegal and that treat women like scum. How is that going to work out well?
It isn’t. FAFO.
No wonder they tried to sweep it under the rug.
