There was a terror attack in the streets of north London today. A man with a knife stabbed two Jewish men in the area of Golders Green, which has a large Jewish population.
The two men, aged 76 and 34, were treated at the scene and are now in a stable condition in hospital, the Metropolitan Police said.
A 45-year-old man, a British national born in Somalia, was Tasered by police before being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, the force said. The suspect is now in custody…
The Met said its officers responded at 11:16 BST on Wednesday after receiving reports that people had been stabbed in Highfield Avenue, which runs off Golders Green Road.
The suspect also attempted to stab the attending officers, the Met said, but none were injured.
Video from the scene shows the attacker running down the street approaching Jewish people at random.

When police arrived he went toward them as well but was tasered. I saw someone earlier whining that the police were kicking the guy in the head after he was down. That’s because he hadn’t released the knife. As you can see, the moment they pry the knife out of his hand, there’s no more kicking.

This is not the first time Golders Green has been the site of anti-Semitic attacks. Just two days ago police made an arrest of another terrorist suspect.
Counter terror police have arrested a man on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts in relation to recent attacks on the Jewish community.
The 37-year-old was detained at an address in Barnstaple, Devon, on Sunday…
The arrest is the latest following a number of attacks against the Jewish community, including a firebomb attack on a fleet of ambulances in Golders Green belonging to the Hatzola charity.
There have also been firebomb attacks on synagogues in Finchley and Kenton and against the former offices of the charity Jewish Futures in Hendon, north London.
And yesterday there was another attack in the same town, this one targeting a memorial of Iranians killed by the Iranian regime.
A memorial wall commemorating anti-regime protesters killed in Iran was targeted in the attack in the early hours of Monday morning.
The wall is outside a synagogue on Limes Avenue, in a largely Jewish area of north London. It follows another alleged arson attack that saw four Jewish community ambulances destroyed in Golders Green in late March.
While the memorial wall itself was not damaged, and it is not being treated as a terrorist attack, counter-terror police are leading the investigation.
Police are treating this as a terror attack and an Iranian group has claimed credit for it.
Police said the suspect had a history of serious violence and mental health issues and confirmed the incident was being treated as a terrorist attack. Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia, an Iranian-linked Islamist group, later claimed responsibility for the stabbings.
