He Believed All the Lies the Democrats Now Claim They Never Said – HotAir

As I spent the evening scouring the internet for information on the assassination attempt last night, I ran across a ton of posts from lefties claiming that it was either staged—a fan favorite—or that the motive might never be known.

Hasan Piker was quite angry that people pointed out that he, just the other day, talked about harnessing the left’s assassination fantasies as a way to organize followers.

That is a fairly common theme in the social media posts of leftists, as are complaints that the various people who have tried to kill Trump don’t have good enough aim. And, contrary to what you might hear, that sentiment is held by many in the political establishment of the Democratic Party.

HOLY CR*P 🚨 This brewery called Minocqua Brewing Company in Wisconsin upset that Donald Trump didn’t get assassinated tonight is owned by Kirk Bangstad

Kirk Bangstad is a Democrat who ran for Wisconsin State Assembly

He founded a Democrat Super PAC that raised millions to support Democratic politicians, judges and liberal causes

He sued to keep Trump off Wisconsin ballots.

He was a candidate for the state assembly, the current candidate for the US House of Representatives in Wisconsin’s third district worked for him, and he runs a super PAC that raises millions for Democrats.

This brewery is owned by a man named Kirk Bangstad, and he’s not just some random crazy guy. Kirk is friends with current Democratic gubernatorial frontrunner Francesca Hong. He previously employed Rebecca Cooke, the Democrat currently running against Derrick Van Orden, and was himself the Democratic nominee against my father-in-law, Sean Duffy, in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District—where I am now running for office.

I repeat: Kirk is not fringe. His views are mainstream among Wisconsin progressives. It’s time to start admitting that leftism is inherently violent, that this isn’t a “both sides” issue, and that radical Marxism must be rooted out of our institutions—especially our school system—immediately.

It’s not just randos on the internet. It is people who are very influential, like Hasan Piker and Kirk Bangstad, too. And the Lincoln Project. And major media figures, like Taylor Lorenz. The No Kings rally people. Code Pink.

Cole Allen, the gunman from last night’s WH Correspondents Dinner, maintained an active online presence, especially on the leftwing social media platform Bluesky where he went by the handle http://ColdForce.bsky.social with multiple references violence and guns.

In one post he calls President Trump the Antichrist.

In another he recommends buying guns in reaction to Trump’s DOJ exploring ways to ban firearm purchases from transgenders.

In one post he calls Trump a sociopathic mob boss and in another referred to him as a traitor with known connections to Putin, repeating a favorite leftwing Russian Hoax talking point.

He also attacks JD Vance for advocating an end to America’s funding the war in Ukraine and for his criticisms of the Pope. He seems pretty fixated on Ukraine more generally.

He also frequently interacts with Will Stancil’s Bluesky account, among others

These people now provide the Democratic Party with energy.

The attempted assassin echoed all the sentiments and accusations that Democrats have been making for the past decade. As the left screams “Do It,” he responded by trying to do it.

The New York Post printed his “manifesto,” and it is exactly what you would expect. It echoed all the unfounded accusations Democrats have made over the years, and explained that he was going to kill Trump and as many Trump administration officials as he possibly could.

WASHINGTON — Gunman Cole Allen sent a chilling anti-President Trump manifesto to his family members just before opening fire at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner — calling himself the “Friendly Federal Assassin” and revealing he was hell-bent on killing Trump administration officials, The Post has learned.

Allen described his “targets” as including “Administration officials (not including [FBI Director Kash] Patel)… prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest” in the unhinged missive that went out 10 minutes before the shooting, a US official said.

“I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes,” Allen wrote, apparently referring to the president.

“In order to minimize casualties, I will also be using buckshot rather than slugs (less penetration through walls),” he wrote before disturbingly admitting he was willing to kill everyone in the room if it meant getting to his targets.

“I would still go through most everyone here to get to the targets if it were absolutely necessary (on the basis that most people *chose* to attend a speech by a pedophile, rapist, and traitor, and are thus complicit) but I really hope it doesn’t come to that.”

Dana Bash, who looks really shaken by the experience, mildly brought up the rhetoric of Democrats with Jamie Raskin, and he couldn’t IMAGINE what she was referring to. He loves Mr. Trump and only brings up his policies, not his personality.

As many have said, arguing with a leftist is so frustrating because they just resort to either ad hominem attacks or pretending that they have no idea what you are talking about.

That? It never happened! What are you talking about?

What? Perhaps the steady stream of violent rhetoric, the open hopes that Trump would be dead, and applause for people like Luigi Mangione.

Just a few days ago, Hakeem Jeffries called for “total warfare” against Trump, and he, along with many other Democrats who spend their lives slandering Trump in the most disgusting ways, again declared his care for the safety of everybody and his hatred of political violence.

Please.

The Democratic Party is now a hate group. I don’t say that lightly, but as even a few social scientists have noted, there is an assassination culture on the left. And it’s not just Trump. The anti-Israel movement celebrates Hamas, talks about #resistance and the necessity of violence to achieve social change, and the Democrats embrace these people as their next generation of voters.

We talk about Hasan Piker more often than we like because the Democrats are rushing to bear hug him. And, again, it’s not the extremist wing, but the most establishment of the establishment. The New York Times’ podcast featured him discussing, among other things, the morality of murdering people. They were laughing along together about it.

Hate is at the core of the party. It is so important that they now fund not only their own brownshirts, but also create fake hate on the right as an excuse to take up violence themselves. Just this week, we learned that the SPLC actually funded the organizing of the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, and out of that came the “fine people” hoax on which they have built their movement to destroy Trump.

A reporter from Japan shared her experience at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and was shocked by how violent the people outside the event were.

As my colleagues and I walked toward the Hilton for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, a man shouted “F*** you!” right at us — simply because we were attending.

Later that night, after the shooting, we were running to the White House for the briefing when we passed three teenage girls glued to their phones, reacting to the news. One of them said, “Aw man, I wish they got him,” and her two friends giggled.

That moment stopped me cold. When our young people casually cheer for violence like it’s a game, we have a serious problem. Radicalization isn’t some abstract issue — it’s showing up casually in everyday conversations and in our kids’ attitudes.

Cole Allen, the attempted assassin, attended the No Kings rally, and despite the fact that it was presented as “mainstream,” many of its official sponsors were groups that openly advocate for violence.

I wish I could say that the media folks will reevaluate their casual platforming of hatred after having been in the middle of yet another assassination attempt, but I doubt they will.

Dana Bash dipped her toe in the water, but a real journalist would have put together a supercut of Jamie Raskin saying the vilest things about Trump and asked him how he could defend them.

But no. The press and the Democrats are symbiotic. They need each other.
