Letter of the day – The Conservative Woman

Dear Editor

The EU’s expansionist ambitions makes it more likely to exacerbate conflict than promote peaceful co-existence.

Sadly Sir Keir Starmer has been authorising Ukraine to use of UK-made offensive weapons for strikes into Russia when we are nowhere near ready for war.

Nato rules are clear that a country that is at war cannot join. Ukraine is not a Nato member. We have no treaty with Ukraine, as we had with Poland in 1939, to go to war in its defence.

Is anyone ready to put British drone fodder on the eastern front, to add to the million-plus lives already lost?

If Nato is to survive, it needs to stop supporting EU expansionist aims, not least because the US is not going to bankroll that.

It is naive to raise the stakes – whether in the right or not – with little chance of quickly winning a war.

So Starmer must stop doing the bidding of his EU puppet masters and put the British people first.
