How Project Fear and the vaccine rewrote the software of the brain

MICHAEL Nehls’s fascinating book The Indoctrinated Brain: How to Successfully Fend Off the Global Attack on Your Mental Freedom charts the extent to which our mental capacities and sense of self have been in long-term decline owing to the pervasiveness of technology, modern lifestyle choices and media-transmitted fear and anxiety. He speculates that the vaccination programme has been used to impair cognition more directly, targeting the hippocampus (the part of the brain which oversees the consolidation of short-to-long-term memory and spatial memory) and autobiographical memory. He suggests that the manipulation of human behaviour has now gone beyond an understanding of psychology, sociology or through ‘nudging’, and into the realms of ‘environmental engineering’.

While the master narrative pursued by the elites is clear to many (but by no means all), the ideological drive behind the Great Reset is clearly much more nuanced and multi-layered than many had first realised. Clearly the long-term aims of this agenda have been to control not only those who were initially susceptible to the narrative, but also eventually to ‘catch’ those who are a bit more switched-on. This dynamic can be observed through the complex narrative of ‘controlled opposition’. There are those in the mainstream media who are seemingly calling out the agenda-setters but are not being subjected to the same censorship rules as others. One can never be sure what their real position, motivation or backing is. Are they simply leading their audience into a dead end, or are they keeping people in a state of fear whilst offering no real solutions?

In a recent TCW article I explored the ways in which cognitive dissonance had been exploited as a particular expression of manipulated behaviour. I argued that the people overseeing this agenda were aware of long-term trends in society, lifestyle and technological innovation which were disconnecting people from each other (and politically from civil society), bypassing and nullifying the critical faculties and contributing to long-term cognitive decline. The result of this, I suggested, was a vast swathe of people who were already vulnerable to a political landscape based on deception, misinformation and disinformation. Nehls argues that while the conditions for mind control came way before 2020, from this point the agenda became based more explicitly on ‘the unnoticed manipulation of people on a neurological level in order to be able to indoctrinate them more efficiently’. He argues that the targeting of the hippocampus – the part of the brain which oversees the consolidation of short-to-long-term memory and spatial memory – has not been coincidental. The hippocampus, he points out, facilitates autobiographical memory, where our sense of self and individuality originates. Nehls conjectures that lockdowns, isolation and social distancing, relentless government propaganda and a fearmongering media have trained this part of the brain into more permanent states of fear, anxiety (fight, flight, or freeze) and depression for a great many people. He points out many studies which show that, over time, these states can overwrite the software of the brain – specifically autobiographical memory – promoting changes in behaviour that begin to reflect an indoctrinated version of reality, comprising new beliefs around a person’s identity and their environment, and subsequent changes in behaviour and outlook.

What Nehls describes perfectly illustrates our involvement in ‘fourth-generation warfare’, in which control of the mind and not physical territory becomes the terrain on which a small minority are able to engage, dominate and control whole populations. It could never have been any other way. If, as suspected, the ambitions of the technocratic class are to enforce ‘full-spectrum dominance’ over the entirety of the global population, physical force was never going to be an option. Instead, as Mattias Desmet argues, ‘humanity is being unconsciously led into the reality of technocratic totalitarianism’, often willingly, it seems. Thanks to a long-term programme of brainwashing (ramped up and given added spice during the last four years) most do not even know that they are at war with their own government and its global network of accomplices.

Such tactics have clear historical precedents. The use of dark psychology in warfare (and always the internecine backdrop to the political world) is well documented in the CIA’s Project Artichoke and MK Ultra programmes, involving psychological manipulation, hallucinogenic drugs, sensory deprivation, electroshocks and other nefarious methods, and has been openly acknowledged by the US government (although it is no surprise that no one has been held accountable). In international relations, aggressors have always sought to gain an edge in whatever way they can. There are also costs to consider in military strategy; the ‘softer’ power of using methods of mind control can reduce the costs of deploying military hardware. While governments around the world spent billions on the coronavirus propaganda-fest, how much would this have cost as a full-scale military operation? The goal has always been to win the war of the mind and to harness social engineering in a more efficient way.

Nehls argues that, amongst its many tasks, the spike protein in the mRNA jabs targets the hippocampus as a more direct and obvious way of continuing the relentless propaganda which was rolled out to full effect in March 2020. Through his research as a medical doctor and molecular geneticist, he points out that depression, anxiety and outbursts of violence and aggression are now visibly much more prevalent in our society. This is before we even get to rocketing rates of dementia and Alzheimer’s – conditions which directly affect the hippocampus. Fears around what ‘transhumanism’ will come to mean have already been voiced by writers such as Joe Allen, who are concerned that the global pandemic was ‘the moment when surveillance started going under the skin’.

If the alarm bells sounded by people such as Nehls prove to be prophetic, the last four years has demonstrated to us the ultimate means so far of engineering populations into political, social, and cultural acquiesce. David Halpern and his Behavioural Insights Team could soon become an irrelevance. As Nehls warns: ‘We are in the process of a great mental reset, which is necessary for permanent acceptance of the world as it will emerge from the Great Reset.’
