Jill Biden Heckled at Arizona Campaign Stop – HotAir

Jill Biden is out on the campaign trail trying to keep women interested in voting for her husband in November. She launched Women for Biden-Harris this weekend.

Her pitch to women in Atlanta, the first stop on her weekend blitz, was described as her strongest attack on Donald Trump yet. The Biden campaign is using abortion and democracy as the top issues of the campaign. She riles up her audiences with claims that Trump is bad for women.

‘Donald Trump is dangerous to women and to our families. We simply cannot let him win,’ the first lady said to cheers from the crowd.

‘He spent a lifetime tearing us down and devaluing our existence. He mocked women’s bodies, disrespects our accomplishments and brags about assault. Now he’s bragging about killing Roe v. Wade,’ she said.

Trump has issues with his past of being an unfaithful husband and speaking crudely about women. That hardly makes him unique among men. However, he was a private citizen until 2016. Joe Biden has been in office since the beginning of time and he is not without accusations about his treatment of women, too. Tara Reade, anyone? Some people tsk-tsk Jill’s relationship with Joe. He was a 33-year-old senator and she was a senior in college, ten years his junior. Her first husband claims they were married when she met Joe Biden. Maybe their relationship started a little messier than she admits.

“Bragging about killing Roe v Wade,” she said. Well, Republicans have had that goal since 1973 so Trump should wear it as a badge of honor. He didn’t “kill it”, though, as she well knows. Abortion went back to being a state issue, which is constitutional. Democrats aren’t too concerned about the Constitution these days. Mitch McConnell masterfully sherpaed Trump’s Supreme Court nominees through confirmation hearings. We have those Trump nominees to thank for the conservative majority on the Court.

Jill Biden is tasked with rallying women to support Joe Biden. He has lost the support of all demographics since he became president. He has to keep women voters or else he will be defeated in November. In 2020, he received 55% of their vote. Black women and suburban women voted for Joe Biden. White women and a larger share of white women without college degrees voted for Trump.

She tries to tell personal stories to show the human side of Biden. She touts him as the author of the Violence Against Women Act. She tells audiences that she watched him write the bill in long hand on yellow legal pads. Really? Biden just whipped that bill up at home? And she talks about a national abortion ban as an issue if Trump becomes president.

Georgia is an important swing state for Biden. He was the first Democrat since Bill Clinton to win the state. Recent polls show Trump up as much as seven points over Biden in Georgia.

Jill has the same problem her husband has on the campaign trail. The pro-Hamas Democrats are interrupting campaign events with heckling over Biden’s actions during the Israel-Hamas war. They demand a complete ceasefire. Jill’s speech in the second state on her itinerary was interrupted by a heckler. In Tucson, Arizona, she was accused of supporting genocide, the same as her husband, Genocide Joe. She tried to raise her voice and keep talking but that didn’t work. She paused. Her supporters chanted, “Four more years,” as the protester was removed.

Joe Biden’s popularity is hovering around 37% with voters right now. Jill Biden has her work cut out for her. Illegal immigration and border security are the top issues with voters, thanks to the Biden border crisis. Women are usually their families’ shopper for groceries and other necessities. Bidenflation and Bidennomics have caused 60% of Americans to live paycheck to paycheck. The nation’s open border and the economy are the top issues for voters. Abortion doesn’t even show up in some polling.
