THIS is actually my TCW fortnight in review, starting with apologies. Not, I hasten to assure you, the virtue-signalling kind, but the old-fashioned sort. The first for not getting this review out last weekend. Sickness was the cause. I was laid low with a chest infection and a fever. (No, I am not vaccinated and yes,I plied myself with First Defence, Vit D and C and ginger, lemon, echinacea and nearly drowned in fluids. And no, I don’t think I am being ‘got at’. Not via my health anyway.)
The second is (for the same reason) for not delivering on my promise to promote Climate the Movie: The Cold Truth on the site last week, which prompted this rebuke from a reader: ‘What about THE promised MOVIE? I thought you were going to feature it. Here it is.’ It triggered my guilt and, being at a low ebb, I retorted – I have no one to delegate to and it needs thought! His reply, needless to say, was as gracious and kind as mine had been defensive. It’s planned now for after Easter. No rock-solid promises, though – I won’t make myself a hostage to fortune.
Back to the last two weeks of civilisational disintegration. From my sickbed, never had the ‘virtual world’ seemed so narcissistic, obsessive and detached from the spiralling chaos of the real world – symbolised on Monday by the collapse of the Baltimore bridge. The online feeding frenzy that led up to the Princess of Wales’s cancer announcement on Friday March 22 eclipsed all other news. Speculation was not halted by her sad and dignified statement. It seemed as if she’d been made the scapegoat for people’s anger. It was not healthy.
I am not saying people haven’t been given just cause for suspicion. It’s no wonder we look for conspiracies, as Niall McCrae argued so well in TCW last week. After the huge lockdown con and the wicked vaccine ‘exit’ plan, why wouldn’t we? But that doesn’t justify merciless vindictiveness about a woman who has cancer, and is possibly another victim of the jab that has left thousands of other UK citizens injured and dead, including from cancer. None deserve rebuke.
The Prince and Princess of Wales were doubly in the grip of the government’s mendacity. Like the rest of the UK’s citizens they were told it was their duty to get vaxxed. But they were pressured to do more – to nudge the nation, as was the late Queen. Does anyone think they would have volunteered? I took a look back at their video and I felt how tragic it was that there was no one with the gumption to tell them not to do it. Their ‘PR’ advisers – the very mirror of our largely uncritical, dumbed-down society – let them down and still do. You’d think that they cannot still be unaware of excess deaths, or of the latest sudden death on the playing fields of Eton a few days before the Princess faced the nation?
The fact is, whether she likes it or not, the Princess of Wales has become an emblem for the not so ‘mystery cancer epidemic’ which is striking under-50s. Yes, the one that all those scientists and MSM editors are scrambling to find the cause of. They need look no further than Neville Hodgkinson’s article, as I tweeted that day.
Behind the headlines of the last weeks, the sickness that is our obdurately unaccountable government persisted. All of us who’d signed Alex Hicks’s petition for a review of TCW‘s favourite regulatory body, the MHRA, received a ‘no, we’re not going to’ response from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHCS) in our email boxes. As one TCW correspondent wrote, ‘the lies started in the first line’ with the statement that ‘patient safety is the MHRA’s highest priority’. Lying of course is the ultimate sickness. Although ‘you cannot argue against the temporal association between [the vaccine rollout and America’s spike in medical issues]’, as Pierre Kory summed it up in his recent Tucker Carlson interview, or that ‘the time of that vaccination rollout is when all the numbers started going sideways, excess mortality started to skyrocket, disability claims started to skyrocket’, the Department of Health and MRHA don’t even bother to. That’s the problem: they ignore it all and will carry on this way unless people sign in real numbers – you can do so here because the petition still has six months to run.
Hamas once again revealed their true colours last week – a sickness of pathological proportions. It took them but one day to reject the first UN Security Council resolution for a ceasefire in the Israel-Gaza conflict that Lord Cameron disgracefully helped pass. It was a horrible deal, releasing nearly a thousand criminals to get back the remaining hostages that Hamas may have already executed. That’s what their rejection of it suggests to me.
Tragically we are not without our own social sickness and depravity. Remember the case of ten-month-old Finley Boden, murdered by his parents on Christmas Day 2020, that Laura reported on at the time of the sentence? Last week the official Review into his killing was reported under this headline: ‘The 10-month-old baby boy killed in act of “unimaginable cruelty” on Christmas Day by his drug-addled parents – after social workers who put him back in their care failed to check in on him over the festive break’. Laura emailed me in fury and despair:
‘Usual crap . . . “lessons being learned”. Social workers just didn’t give a damn . . . Oh, we didn’t know the parents would be so clever . . . yes they look like geniuses. And drug use now absolutely tolerated by social workers . . . it’s just cannabis. What’s the point . . . just what is the point any more? Makes me so angry.’ It makes me angry too and it should be making every online tweeter angry too, if they could take a moment to get off their royalty conspiracy merry go round. I might be feeling jaded but isn’t that sick too?
So what about my bright spot in this tide of turpitude?
It’s the good people who saved me from drowning in the sea of technology on which we are all now too dependent and that one reader told me this week was overwhelming him. I know the feeling. The good news is that these people exist. I want to make public my acknowledgement of the BT/EE folk who persevered over three weeks on my behalf to get me the engineer the ‘system’ had agreed as a condition of my new contract to install my updated wifi. Obi the BT engineer who finally arrived the day before I was laid low was wonderful. I thank them all! They restored my faith in humanity.
Finally – please get friends to sign up to our daily email which sends you our latest articles every day. It is free! The sign-up box is here.
I wish TCW’s wonderful community of readers a very Happy Easter.
