Remember Churchill’s warnings
Dear Editor
I have just finished reading Martin Gilbert’s book Winston Churchill: The Wilderness Years, and have been struck by the similarities in today’s world.
Am I alone in seeing how and with what consequences, Churchill’s warnings were ignored by the governments headed by Stanley Baldwin and Neville Chamberlain? Churchill the realist could see the writing on the wall, whilst the governments were burying their heads in the sand.
Today we have a not dissimilar situation, where there is the very real prospect of a ‘war to end all wars’, yet our government and potential government fail, or refuse, to realise that we must strengthen our armed forces before it is too late.
The problem that we have now, unlike in the 1930s when we had a population which stood together, we have brought in to this country what can only be described as a ‘fifth column’ who may or may not wish us harm, together with a young generation who appear to hate this country.
I urge people to pay attention to the past and to learn from it.

The ECHR’s mission to control the weather
Dear Editor,
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) comprises 46 judges presided over by an Irishwoman, with its UK representative a German-born barrister, Tim Eicke. The organisation has often been criticised for interfering with the governance of its 46 member countries, including over 300 times it has ruled against the UK. It has, for example, prevented the UK government from taking decisive action against illegal immigration. Its latest ruling is its most perverse yet, saying that all member states have a duty to protect people from climate change. Climate change: Switzerland’s condemnation by the ECHR marks ‘historic’ step (lemonde.fr) Sarah Dines MP has described this ruling as ‘yet another ideological power grab on the part of a self-serving elite out of touch with reality’.
How on Earth is our government supposed to prevent the cold and wet spring we have had this year? How can it stop the rain falling? Is it supposed to suck the water from the farmers’ fields which have become saturated with daily rainfall causing mayhem with crops, lambing, and the routine of agriculture? Climate change is a natural phenomenon occurring over millennia. Humanity cannot control it. It is impossible.
The ECHR was formed at the end of WW2, and was specifically designed to protect people from the horrors of Nazism. It is irrelevant today. The UK should withdraw from it without delay because if sovereignty is to have meaning it means that we make our own laws and enforce them according to our own institutions without recourse to a foreign power. After Magna Carta in 1215 Britain led the way in human rights and does so today. A mark of freedom in any country is whether its law enforcement agencies routinely carry guns. Only three countries in Europe have unarmed bobbies – Iceland (population 378,000), Norway (5.5m) and the UK (68m). Britain doesn’t need Irishmen or Germans to tell us our rights; the rule of law prevailed in Britain while on the Continent unspeakable barbarisms were committed.

The cover-up of the millennium
Dear Editor
I invite Members of Parliament to read this Substack, ‘Reflection on the last four years’ by Dr Clare Craig, an appraisal of covid and the mRNA jab.
Also consider watching the 20-minute video in it as probably the most significant issue in any MP’s career.
Although there have been attempts by a couple of MPs to have that debated (50,000+ excess deaths/year 2020-2024), the elephant in the room remains ignored. That is also a real issue for the mainstream media, who also pretend that the most serious issue in my lifetime does not exist!
I endorse and thoroughly recommend to all to read, and to cascade. If Parliamentarians and the MSM persistently ignore these issues, at least the nation’s electorate will be fully informed.
As a Conspiracy Realist, I have 600+ peer-reviewed research papers that evidence and validate the issues that Dr Clare Craig raises on a failing UK governance to respond to totally flawed medical strategies, an ongoing mass poisoning event, and what is in effect the cover-up of the millennium.

The meaning of SMART
Dear Editor
Further to Ivor Williams’s article on the abomination of smart meters, https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/smart-meters/ you might like to know that the radio teleswitching service that sends signals to switch on and off meters with off-peak tariffs has been extended for another year. The switch-off date has changed from March 2024 to June 2025. The failure of the British consumer to take up the call to change over to smart meters must be working. Hurray! My heating depends on the teleswitching service and I am resolute in not having a smart meter on my property for a whole host of reasons. Net Zero is not a scientific endeavour but a part of the anti-human, globalist death cult. It is all a raft of lies and falsehoods, with the usual criminals engineering it for maximum extortion value. S.M.A.R.T. = Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology.

The evil of modern slavery
Dear Editor
Modern slavery is the Cinderella of serious crime, found not just in secret, but blatantly in public throughout the country.
There is hardly a high street that does not have several south-east Asian nail bars. Two things strongly indicate that something is not right. The majority of the staff in these female-orientated businesses are male. Also I understand that most of these businesses only take cash.
Of course, nail bars are the soft end of modern slavery. Many illegal immigrants are coerced into working in secret cannabis farms or worst of all in brothels.
Modern slavery is an important part of the economics of illegal immigration. Ethnic minority criminal gangs smuggle people into the country to make money viciously exploiting them.
And yet neither compassion for its victims, nor their duty to enforce the law will motivate the police or the Home Office to do anything about modern slavery. This must change now.

TCW’s hemispheres are in sync
Dear Editor
Excellent piece by Laura Perrins on Richard Dawkins. I’m a big fan of Iain McGilchrist, and Dawkins strikes me as a prime example of what I call Right Hemisphere Deficit Disorder. Thank heavens the hemispheres of everyone at TCW are balanced and in sync.
