THIS week’s sweep takes you on a bit of a gallop through North and South America, the EU, Britain and Syria – with apologies to the rest of the world. Next year we’ll try to touch down in other parts of the globe too.
US
Donald Trump may be all but installed, but the question is whether he can stall what some ‘alt’ commentators are sure is the coming financial crisis. If you want to end your year on a gloomy note, here is Rafi Farber’s breakdown of the ‘markers’ of impending financial doom.
Alasdair Macleod asks: Where has the gold gone? (That’s assuming the reserves claimed for the US are not what they seem, which will be another problem for Trump.) Who has bought it? He speculates here.
The most immediate problem facing the President-elect is whether the Deep State will get at his nominees before he gets them into office. ZeroHedge reports Megyn Kelly’s warning that the political establishment, both Democrats and Republicans, are attempting to derail Trump’s second term before it has begun by targeting his cabinet picks – Gaetz, Hegseth, Gabbard, RFK Jnr, the Deep State is coming for them all.
This, the Mitch McConnell syndrome, is also what Trump has to turn round. This is a man, The Federalist explains, whose actions and values are the personification of America’s decline. Well worth reading.
Many of you will remember our coverage of the hurricane devastation in North Carolina and the plight of citizens abandoned by the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in what looked to be a deliberate Democrat policy. This extraordinarily detailed ‘dig’ into FEMA’s response to the Hurricanes of 2024 by Robert Malone (of covid dissenting fame) uncovers the truly punitive nature of the Biden/Harris administration. Published by the excellent Brownstone Institute, it is a must read.
Meanwhile Joe Biden has been pardoning criminals like there is no tomorrow, commuting 1,500 sentences and pardoning 39 people, in a single-day record on December 12. In this Benny Johnson interview, James Comer says Joe is not off the hook yet.
Trump, however, has been putting down his own markers. He has signalled the deportation of families with mixed immigration status. Epoch Times reports here.
And if anyone is in any doubt about his determination, they should take a look at Tom Homan, the man he has appointed to be his new border Czar, not a man I would choose to mess with. Here he is with Tucker Carlson discussing his plan to destroy the cartel empire, end child trafficking, and secure the border for good.
Trump has also demanded an end to the Ukraine war and sent a clear message to Washington – stay out of Syria. Redacted‘s Clayton Morris reports how Trump is shaking the foundations of the Globalist war machine.
Canada
As Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) deaths surge by 15.8 per cent, figures show that an overwhelming majority (95.8 per cent) of cases in 2023 were white people. Brad Salzberg reports.
Argentina
A year after becoming President of Argentina, Javier Milei has been giving a few interviews. Here he is at full throttle against the left and woke: ‘If you give them an inch they will destroy you.’ Too right!
If you want the full monty of Argentina’s comeback, Trump’s tariffs and the fight for the Falklands, and what his libertarianism means, you can’t do better than watch this Spectator interview with Kate Andrews.
Europe
Amazing Europe reports on European countries collapsing, including UK. He says they are experiencing a profound political, cultural and identity crisis. He is right. Worth watching.
Meanwhile we see European Commission President Ursula von de Leyen coming under increasing pressure in the European Parliament, led by the AfD’s forceful and impressive MEP Christine Anderson.
And here is Gert Wilders in Breitbart celebrating about ‘the awakening of the great Legion of the Unwashed – the so-called “deplorables,” the “garbage,” the middle and working classes who do not think the way the self-styled smart folks do’.In the Netherlands, his party, the Party for Freedom (PVV), after a year of attempts to keep it out finally entered the government.
The suicidal nature of the still in situ EU leftist elite is well illustrated in this report from Spain by Michael Heaver on the latest insane migration policy from Pedro Sanchez’s government. Spain is to grant residency and work permits to around 300,000 undocumented migrants for the next three years. And that is just the start of his report.
UK
The most important thing that wasn’t in the mainstream news was Dan Wootton’s visit to Tommy Robinson in jail and the interview he conducted with him there. You do need to be a subscriber to read it. It revolves around the fact of utmost public interest that, for many weeks, after the Southport killings the horrified British population was led to believe that the 18-year-old accused of murder, Axel Rudakubana, was a practising Christian. Wootton bravely goes where other journalists have feared to tread, reporting on Rudakubana’s religious practices in jail as he awaits trial and the lies told us by Sir Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper, he says, to scare us into silence.
If you wondered what the government’s response to the petition calling for a general election (only 14,000 signatures short of 3million at time of writing) really means, the Black Belt barrister gives his take.
More dissenting and contrarian reporting (that alt media is the home of) from Mahyar Tousi on the December 11 farmers’ protest outside Parliament.
Net zero lunacy is not just targeted at farmers but at drivers too. A YouTube site called Scottish Car Clan reports that petrol-engined car rationing is far worse than we thought. Petrol-fuelled cars are being held hostage from their new owners. Thousands of customers are being refused the keys to their new cars (that they’ve paid for!) to help appease the zero emission vehicle (ZEV) Mandate. You can watch here.
Syria
If you have found it hard to follow the mainstream media (like yours truly), Mahyar Tousi has done a number of reports on Syria since Assad was toppled. This one on the back of the breaking news:
this report a day later on the fall of Syria:
and finally a fuller explanation of Syria’s intricacies and alliances:
For a slightly different perspective, Lena Petrova reveals what she believes to be the real economic machinations behind events in Syria.
