I asked a question on X last night that seems to me to be pretty relevant, all things being equal and in light of current events.
I know everyone was busy getting ready for the New Year in one way or the other. If you were like us, you were dreading the local eruption of WWIII munitions around 9 pm, staying up ’til 3 with a wigged out dog, and wondering how far away the booms and crackles had driven the ferals outside, and what time New Year’s Day you finally see them. Other folks get to go out and enjoy themselves, visit with friends, or even have a normal evening – all in anticipation of sleeping in a little later than usual, and hoping for a better year than the disaster in our rearview mirror.
Yes, I’m a gloomy Irish optimist.
But say you had to travel on this holiday weekend, in a major metropolitan area. The last thing you needed to sweat besides worrying about weather delays, maybe an already cranky toddler, and highway accidents jacking with your schedule was a passel of obnoxious, offensive, and entitled terrorist supporters jamming up the entrances and exits where you’re going or leaving from.
Trying to get out of the city itself turned into a nightmare, thanks to these cretins. They literally – and without any pushback – shut down the Brooklyn Bridge.
🚨𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 – Palestinian agitators are causing havoc on the Brooklyn Bridge, resulting in massive congestion.
They have effectively closed down one of New York City’s largest transportation routes, the Brooklyn Bridge.

All this time you thought you had a right to travel our roads and highways unmolested and unimpeded.
If I’m flying a terrorist flag, and making sure you can’t get to your departure gate at JFK in New York, me and my friends sure had you fooled.
Nothing like gumming up the works to get people on your side.
…Shortly after 2 p.m., a number of vehicles waving Palestinian flags could be seen in the area of JFK Airport as police appeared to limit access to Terminal 4 and to the AirTrain. Traffic was very heavy in the area.
“The Port Authority, in coordination with our local, state, and federal partners, deployed safety and security measures to help ensure an uninterrupted travel experience at JFK,” said Port Authority spokesperson Seth Stein in a statement.”
New Year’s Day is typically the last day of the traditional busy holiday travel season.
The roads around JFK were gridlocked. This, our happy little Hamas supporters said, was a “victory” – blockading a major metropolitan airport on one of the busiest travel days of the year.
A pro-Palestine mob has created a New Years Day nightmare as they have blockaded the JFK airport and surrounding roads, causing a gridlock for travelers.
…Only passengers with boarding passes and employees with valid forms of identification are being allowed to enter the JFK Air Train at Jamacia Station.
Cars can be seen driving on the highway leading up to the airport as protestors shout ‘NYD KKK, IDF, you’re all the same.‘
‘VICTORY! Port Authority has effectively shut down all entrances to JFK for people w/o a boarding pass. Airtrain service is closed, and cars cannot get into the terminal without proof of ticket,’ WOL said in a post on X.
New York’s weakest were on the job, tentatively making their way through the traffic jams to try to nudge the agitators along, and gosh darn citizens who paid for tickets? Don’t YOU know YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE for leaving earlier because there might be “disturbances”?
As opposed to NYPD making sure there ARE NO “disturbances”?
God forbid they should enforce the law.
How about this crap? Are they not the classic definition of enablers?
Are you doing anything about balloon launching Hamas Supporters?
That’s a federal offense last I heard.
But oh no – let’s pretend we’re BRITISH cops and tell the people we’re supposed to PROTECT THEY’RE THE ONES ON THEIR OWN.

Ah, this is where the terrorist sympathizers turned into the federal aviation textbook definition of “terrorists.”
Not happy with the amount of “flood JFK for Gaza” chaos they caused on the ground – flight schedules were still sort of managing to function even though the “protester” goal was to shut JFK down completely – Hamas supporters took matters into their own hands and took to the air, in the spirit of their animalistic brethren in Gaza.
They launched a honking weather balloon at the end of a runway, directly into the approach/departure path in an attempt to shut the airport down.
The flag-bearer shutting down JFK Airport is holding a #HAMAS flag — not a Palestinian flag.
Hamas is considered by the US Govt as a terrorist organization.

Or at least cause an emergency landing for an airliner full of holiday travelers. Killing a bunch of passengers is bonus points.
There’s a “victory” for ya.
Protesters launched a large balloon in front of the John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City, in an attempt to Halt the Arrival and Departure of Flights and trying to shut down the airport on first day of the New year 2024.#airport #operations pic.twitter.com/fxGehURGIy

It’s also a federal crime. But I sure haven’t heard much about them scooping anyone up for it, though.
The balloons, of which there were apparently multiple, were later confirmed by cops.
…Of the 60 delays, 15 were caused solely by crews arriving at the airport late as the protests impeded traffic to JFK for over two hours, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. There were no flight cancellations.
Around 100 cars left from Canarsie earlier in an effort to halt travel at JFK – but were denied entry into Terminal 4, where photos showed an armored NYPD vehicle parked in a lane near the terminal’s exit.
“Airport is swarming with law enforcement and organizers were removed from Terminal 4,” Within Our Lifetime posted on X in a Monday afternoon update.
A video reportedly showing balloons floating in the air above JFK circulated online following the protest.
A law enforcement source confirmed to The Post that balloons were flown over the Queens airport as the protest was ongoing.
After they closed down the Brooklyn Bridge, I just asked:
“Anyone going to get a handle on these asterisks?”
I’m really curious. When do we say, “When”? And it sure looks as if it will be the folks living in those cities who have to do it, because the people running those formerly great places of civilized behavior no longer possess the intestinal fortitude and/or are actually in the camp of the people waving the red, green and black flags, or green and white flags. That’s a terribly scary and un-American thing.
We are still Americans, contrary to their most fervent hopes and fever dreams.
In the good old days of my growing up in the Tri-State Area (NY, NJ, PA), a “disturbance” caused on a freeway by such verminous half-wits as these would have been immediately handled by the Vinnies and Ronnies who were stuck in the traffic jam they caused. They would have exited their late model, tuna-boat size, gas guzzling behemoths – axe handles in hand – to see what the hold-up was, and cleared the roadway posthaste. Before the NYPD even had a chance to reach the scene. There would rarely have been a repeat performance anywhere in the borough. Agitators weren’t that stupid nor so entitled 50 years ago.
Now, police tell law-abiding citizens they’re the ones who have to adjust their schedules to accommodate the malevolent children laying in the road or parked on it. If Jack or Squeaky so much as lay a hand on a dirty River to the Sea t-shirt to drag it out of the roadway, the good citizen winds up in the hoosegow for assault, as opposed to the terrorist sympathizer. Times have changed.
No one should be surprised if this blows up in a different direction than any of the emotional manipulation of the St George Summer of Peaceful but Fiery. Life in most of America was humming along when that flamed out of control and people stood by shocked and bemused at what was going on in the inferno around them. They didn’t understand. They still had faith in the system and elected officials to do what was right. They were shell-shocked and pissed off when the smoke started to clear and not one leader had. And then COVID hit hard.
Our entire foundation was shaken to its core and has only taken a constant, progressive beating in the years since.
That submissive worm has turned, I truly do believe. No one in his right mind has the level of patience required to indulge expensive, painful, destructive, hate-filled tantrums from the Left this go-around. The Left revels in their ugliness, vanity, and thirst for ever more power, and we have all seen it. We have all catalogued the hypocrisy, the authoritarianism, the discrimination, perpetual victimhood, the celebration of the ugly and uncivilized, the everchanging #NewRulez and the sheer grift of it all.
Someone is going to get a handle on it, I guarantee. How much more they can push, I don’t know, but I do know there is a “too far” nowadays. And they have their Prog/BLM/Hamas Go-Pro degenerate friends to thank for it.
There IS a “too far.”
And they are close to the edge.
