I HAVE got used to being ‘cancelled’ for my views opposing the official covid narrative (see here, for example). But now it appears that I am being cancelled purely because I have dared to talk about my support for Israel following the atrocities carried out by Hamas on October 7. This is a subject in which I have a personal interest and knowledge since this is where my family lives, and they were directly affected by what happened. I made this clear in a personal statement that I published on my blog and on Twitter and also in a series of articles in TCW.
My personal statement included a summary of some of the anti-Semitism directed at me on Twitter including from those in the so-called ‘freedom movement’ of which I was a considered a member for my covid work. But what I have just experienced was the most remarkable example of irrational anti-Semitism that I’ve had so far.
I had been booked (for a while) to be on the Chris Thrall podcast – he has 82,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel.
Chris had asked me on to talk about Gulf War Syndrome (he is an Army veteran) and the report I did on this.
He started the ‘interview’ (on Zoom) by saying he had just tried to phone me and was apologising for the fact that he would not be able to go ahead with it. He mumbled about having a lot of commitments and no staff, so I assumed he was simply going to say that he did not have time to do the interview. But he said that, because of this, he had failed to find out more about my ‘views’ in advance. He said that he had ‘only just discovered’ that my ‘views’ would ‘not sit well’ with his audience and that, therefore, he preferred not to go ahead with the interview. While I realised instinctively that he was referring to my views on Israel, I asked if he meant my views on the covid narrative. He said it wasn’t that, so I said: ‘Ah, it’s because I’m a Jew who has expressed support for Israel.’ I asked him why this would matter given that I was speaking only about the statistical analysis of Gulf War Syndrome. He said that it was because I was a ‘person who spread division’ and this conflicted with his and his audience’s views which are all about peace, love and humanity.
He also said, as is getting to be par for the course on X these days, that I didn’t understand how the satanists who control everything were ‘playing me’ and that it was they and not Hamas who were behind the October 7 attacks. Well, had I known Chris Thrall’s fanatical and deranged views I would not have accepted his invitation in the first place!
